Retrieving The Past Steam EDITION

"Retrieving the Past" is a very erotic "spymaster/studmaster" type of Adult Visual Novel (AVN). Your leading guy is super rich, a bad-ass, and he's super hung, too, so "YES" it's PURE FANTASY! But, it's FUN! Although the game's got a really good plot and well-written script, you have to be in the mood to read a VERY LONG AVN! With me, I don't mind, figuring "More for my Money!" The artwork is very S3XY, MODERN & CONTEMPORARY! Most of the Love Interests (LIs) are big busted women who have slim-waists and nice round perky bums! There are other sexy body types, too, though! HAREM (OR NOT?) For the first two-thirds of this adventure, you can play it ALMOST as a HAREM. But, in the last third you'll have to choose which woman you want. This is unfortunate because the women continue to tease our hero mercilessly throughout the rest of the game! There were SO MANY wasted opportunities for some steamy NTR scenes that could have been incorporated!! It's almost cruel that the developer doesn't allow our MC to build a harem because of all the women that are coming on to him! Nevertheless, this AVN has GREAT ART, S3XY WOMEN, and a GREAT PLOT!! So, this is an EASY RECOMMENDATION!

I just finished my first playthrough of RtP (Choosing Vicky). This was an outstanding story. The 3 possible "girlfriends" were well developed and I had empathy with them all. The transformation of Nicky was great. The secondary women had some character development which made them believable (along with being hot). The story itself was well thought out, although I would have preferred a longer death fight for the main villan. Now choosing Eve and feeling bad for not picking Vicky. Saving Nicky for 3rd playthrough. Outstanding game and well worth the time. Don't even think, just get it and play. You will not regret it.

Анимация на высоте, что редко встречается в подобных играх. Огорчает отсутствие русских субтитров. Спасибо разработчикам, что не забросили игру, как обычно это бывает с подобными проектами. Very Good , You won't be disappointed.

The story is good, it keeps you on the edge of your seat. The renders are very good the sounds are awesome thou kind of funny. Decent amount of play time in the game. three different endings. the only draw back are the endings. After the story ends it turns into a porn game, especially with NIki, basic sex scene after sex scene. Did one play thru to the end, did not even bother with the other two. For the money its worth it. Just bear in mind there is a lot of porn it.

Although it's basically a kinetic novel, there are some functional choices here and there and a great final choice, spread over the course of the first episode of the third season, in which the protagonist's love interest will be definitively chosen. In any case, after a "crackling" beginning, follows a more narrative and less "adventurous" central part, to then proceed to an ending once again full of "fireworks". It should also be noted that, during the course of the story, our protagonist will not be the only one to "taste a bit of honey", in fact, contextual to the plot, we will also witness the vicissitudes and "entertainments" of other characters. The few choices, especially at the beginning, will not be decisive except in the type of content that you will see immediately afterwards, there are none actually better from the point of view of the story, even if it must be said that one often gives impression of being more canonical than the other, in any case it is likely that some options will give more "satisfaction" than others, therefore saving first and trying the various possibilities is highly recommended, also because the gallery does not include all the scenes. As mentioned, a definitive choice must then be made regarding the girl to woo, as it is not a harem game. In this regard [spoiler]it is correct to point out that, even if there are many damsels presented, it will be possible to opt for one of only 3 candidates, that is between [spoiler]Nickola, Victoria and Evaline[/spoiler][/spoiler]. The models have not aged badly at all, even if the age is a little noticeable here and there, especially in the sometimes burnt whites of some backgrounds, while the animations, although generally quite simple, are all in all well done. However, the sound is the real sore point of the title, in fact, even if the initial warning says the opposite, everything is predominantly silent, with only occasional generic musical accompaniment or with environmental sounds contextual to some scenarios, whereas the scenes hot are, often but not always, supported by very appropriate moans and themed sounds. Unfortunately there is no Steam Cloud save function, furthermore the saves can be renamed, making the saving phase a bit cumbersome, however you can always use the left click to select the slot and then the right click to continue without give it a name and speed things up a bit. In conclusion, despite its age (the development began around the end of May 2018 and ended roughly at the beginning of November 2020), the title continues to defend itself well and there is definitely nothing wrong with it, furthermore the story, although lacking of real choices on the part of the player aimed at shaping its development, it is still something quite different from the usual scenario, even if unfortunately it lacks a consistent soundtrack that accompanies it for the entire duration of the game. [spoiler]Personal note: for me the best girl here is Victoria, followed closely by Evaline, who, between the three, offers a unique "treatment" that would usually put her on top of the list, but unfortunately she is officially introduced last and not in a great way, then Nickola, who starts off slow, but then picks up a ton of points in the end. As honorable mentions, I cannot fail to mention Mei-Lin, who tells it right from the start, but then the story wants otherwise, as well as for Francine, Amber, Latisha and, above all, Sherry.[/spoiler] ____ ITA: In questa prima opera di MisterKnobb andremo ad interpretare Jensen Wenchester, un ex ranger dell'esercito ora a capo di un'agenzia di sicurezza privata con molti contatti, che, tra un'incarico e l'altro, ha recentemente iniziato a notare un misterioso quanto insolito "problema", così quella che sarebbe la sua normale vita inizia a trasformarsi in una vera e propria avventura fatta di conquiste improbabili, diagnosi sospette e... inquietanti misteri. Quantunque si tratti fondamentalmente di una kinetic novel, vi sono alcune scelte funzionali alle scene qui e là ed una grande scelta finale, scaglionata nel corso del primo episodio della terza stagione, nella quale si sceglierà in modo definitivo l'interesse amoroso del protagonista. In ogni caso, è bene notare che, ad un inizio "scoppiettante", segue una corposa parte centrale più narrativa e meno d'"azione", per procedere verso un finale nuovamente da "fuochi d'artificio". Va detto anche che, nel corso della storia, il nostro protagonista non sarà l'unico ad "assaggiare un po' di miele", infatti, contestuali alla trama, assisteremo anche alle vicissitudini e "intrattenimenti" di altri personaggi. Le poche scelte, soprattutto all'inizio, non saranno determinanti se non nel tipo di contenuto che si andrà a vedere subito dopo, non ce ne sono di effettivamente migliori dal punto di vista della storia, anche se va detto che una da spesso l'impressione di essere più canonica dell'altra, ad ogni modo è probabile che alcune opzioni daranno più "soddisfazioni" di altre, pertanto salvare prima e provare le varie possibilità è caldamente consigliato, anche perché la galleria non include proprio tutte le scene. Come detto, in seguito dovrà però essere fatta una scelta definitiva riguardante la ragazza da corteggiare, in quanto non si tratta di un harem game, a questo proposito [spoiler]è corretto far notare che, anche se le donzelle presentate sono parecchie, sarà possibile optare per una tra sola 3 candidate, ossia tra[spoiler] Nickola, Victoria ed Evaline[/spoiler][/spoiler]. I modelli non sono invecchiati affatto male, anche se l'età qui e là un po' si nota, soprattutto nei bianchi talvolta bruciati di alcuni sfondi, mentre le animazioni, per quanto generalmente piuttosto semplici, sono tutto sommato ben fatte. È tuttavia il sonoro il vero punto dolente del titolo, infatti, anche se l'avviso iniziale dice il contrario, il tutto risulta prevalentemente silenzioso, con un generico accompagnamento musicale solo occasionale oppure con dei suoni ambientali contestuali ad alcuni scenari, laddove invece le scene hot sono, spesso ma non sempre, coadiuvate da gemiti e suoni a tema molto azzeccati. Purtroppo la funzione di salvataggio su Steam Cloud è assente, inoltre, i salvataggi possono essere rinominati, rendendo la fase di salvataggio più macchinosa, tuttavia si può sempre usare il click sinistro per selezionare lo slot e poi il click destro per proseguire senza dare un nome e velocizzare un po' la cosa. In conclusione, nonostante l'età (lo sviluppo è iniziato intorno alla fine maggio del 2018 ed è terminato grossomodo ad inizio novembre 2020), il titolo continua a difendersi bene e non ha decisamente nulla che non va, inoltre la storia, per quanto priva di scelte reali da parte del giocatore atte a plasmarne lo svolgimento, è comunque qualcosa di piuttosto diverso dal solito scenario, anche se purtroppo manca di una colonna sonora consistente che l'accompagni per tutta la durata del gioco. [spoiler]Nota personale: per me la best girl qui è Victoria, seguita però a ruota da Evaline, che tra le tre, offre un "trattamento" unico che di solito me la porterebbe anche a primeggiare, ma purtroppo viene ufficialmente introdotta per ultima ed in modo un po' così, poi abbiamo Nickola, che mi parte lenta, ma poi recupera una marea di punti sul finale. Come menzioni d'onore, non posso non citare Mei-Lin, che la racconta giusta fin dall'inizio, ma ormai la storia la vuole altrimenti, così come anche per Francine, Amber, Latisha e, soprattutto, Sherry.[/spoiler]

Deciding thumbs up or thumbs down for this game was tough for me. There are things I very much liked about the game. The fact that there are female characters without bubble b**ts and bulbous b**bs is worth two thumbs up in itself; and Vicky's arc as a love interest is noteworthy. However, the negatives outweigh the positives for me. --The pacing of the story is horrible: lengthy side events such as shopping excursions, trips for coffee, etc., etc. that do nothing to progress the plot or character development. --Moments of breaking the fourth wall that - with one exception - are more lame and disruptive than creative. --And "daddy" during sexual encounters - always barf-worthy for me - without the choice to opt out. (Or, if there was, I missed it.)
