Though some of the puzzles are a little opaque in the ending, still a good and beautiful take on the genre
2/10 Скучноватый 2D-экшн с видом сверху, неспособный ничем выделиться на фоне других представителей жанра.
Could be such a fun game and for a niche audience probably is. The good: - pixel art is great overall, some varying quality, sometimes paths/enemies hard to see - music superb with adaptive elements when fighting or low on health - music and graphics create a good atmosphere - combat is simple but good enemy variety, some enemies seem a bit weak and some overpowered though The bad: - punching boxes gets old quickly - inconsistent difficulty, enemies like to start attacks from off screen - upgrades too hard too find which makes later bosses too tough - worst metroidvania sin: behind item gates obstacles there's often another obstacle the player cannot overcome yet, backtracking results in time waste - no markers on map! have fun taking notes - no teleport from the start, according to patch notes made obtainable earlier but still too late There seems to be a lack of polish to make the game more accessible. Contrary to other reviews I had no big trouble finding the main quest path but stopped at a trio of bosses I couldn't defeat without upgrades. According to patch notes these were made more difficult as well... Maybe the game tries to compensate its small scale with crypticness. Some may surely like it but to repeat the initial statement: if you have this niche taste you might enjoy.
Very abstract and intriguing arcade experience, worth the efford of destroying your brain trying to understand what's happening
honestly, this is one of the bests games ever made, amazing in every way, thank you devs.
The art is a weak imitation of Hyper Light Drifter and the story is empire / terrorist techno BS. However, the gameplay is uniquely bad. Sure, its clunky and artificial, but the worst aspect, by far, is how respawning works. Rather than have regular checkpoints, there are occasional respawn points, but dying doesn't reset the enemies - meaning the only thing that will ever happen in a harder section is that you will kill a few more every time you die and then have to run back to repeat the process. I cannot emphasize this enough - this game has somehow the worst death / respawn system possible. This is not to mention the bugs and oversights I encountered in even my short playtime. Believe the negative reviews. This game likely not worth your time and certainly not worth your money.
