Regiments is a Real-Time Tactics game set in Germany 1989. The Cold War has gone hot, and the inferno is raging. Lead your Regiment through the fires of conflict and the fog of war. Break through the lines, call in artillery, maneuver, feign retreats, stage defenses, counter-attack. Do not relent.

The perfect RTS for those who find Wargame/SteelDivision a bit too complicated and Company of Heroes style games a bit too simple and small scale. Its right in the middle of complex and fun!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I prefer this game over the Wargame and Warno series. While the fast pace and micromanagement in those games are exciting for many, I enjoy the slower pace here. It gives me time to think and appreciate the war scenes without the frantic clicking to keep things under control. The graphics are stunning, but one downside is how units can pass through towns and buildings. I get that it’s meant to simulate a commander’s overall view, but it still feels off.
To put it simply, Regiments is an excellent solo real-time tactics game with almost no micromanagement, but a ton of strategy. If you like strategy but you don't have the APM to keep up with today's lightning speed offerings, there's hundreds of hours of fun to be had here. It's also a must play if you're a fan of the Cold War. Check it out.
Great cold war RTS in the same vein of Warno or Wargame. Nice for a more strategic, relaxing experience for single player experience without getting wrecked by a bunch of tryhards that only play multiplayer. I thought the small notes of narrative and world building was good without trying too hard. Plenty of great gameplay for the price and would recommend to others looking for that experience without wanting to commit dozens our hours to learning a new multiplayer game.
After playing the Regiments tutorial, I picked up the Regiments base game and the Winds dlc. I have played pc tactical wargames for many years and was looking to move onto a more realistic 3D title. I looked at multiple options including Warno, Broken Arrow, Command Ops 2, and Armored Brigade 2, but settled on Regiments. It operates at Platoon scale which is a nice change, I love the look and feel of the maps, and how units are controlled and fight. The interface and options are simple but gameplay is deep. Units need to work together and bring all arms (armor, infantry, artillery, airpower) to a fight in order to win. The AI keeps me guessing and battles are not a foregone conclusion. A tactical retreat to rebuild and rearm is often necessary to prevail in the long term. What I would like to see in future DLCs is the following which would make Regiments even better: 1. Ability to customize unit names. E.g. "1st Plt Able Comp" or "1st/A" or "M1A1/TF Gage" 2. Group units under subordinate commands in the field. At the moment you can bring in a single command unit and it improves overall effectiveness, but there's really no concept of unit cohesion and formation leaders. Therefore you can move your units anywhere on the map and not face penalties (or advantages to keep them together). 3. Expanding maps and units to a wider timeline and geography, including some real wars such as the Yom Kippur war or the Gulf War. This engine would work amazingly well for any conventional battles between 1960 and 2020. That's it, this is a beautiful game and it's "look and feel" is perfect. Hope Microprose builds on this platform for a long time!
A fantastic strategy game! It is well made and very affordable. The best $25 I have ever spent on a game. It is a great recommendation for anyone new to real-time tactics or war games. The game does an excellent job onboarding players through its tutorial, making it easy to get into without feeling overwhelmed. I know some people might question why missions are timed, but the system works really well. If you need more time, there’s an option to extend the timer before starting an operation. Not to mention, you can pause the game at any time before making moves. Overall, I believe this design works well in preventing save scumming and reinforces the idea that every decision has consequences. The Winds of Change DLC is an easy recommendation and honestly feels like a must have. The ability to deploy helicopter troops gives off strong Black Hawk Down vibes. Watching reinforcements rapidly secure defensive positions or strike objectives behind enemy lines is incredibly satisfying. One of the standout features included in the DLC is Warpaths, and it is the main reason why the DLC is a must buy. It offers procedurally generated campaigns that are genuinely enjoyable. The mode introduces new maps, event cards, and customization options, giving you a lot of control over how your campaign unfolds. As of April 2026, it’s exciting to see the developer continuing support with a final update that adds Steam achievements, new units, and an entirely new regiment. It’s a great sendoff, and I’m looking forward to Bird’s Eye Games’ next project. Update (April 25, 2026): The final update dropped today, and it’s excellent. We’ve gotten several new units and regiments. The long-awaited Steam achievements work flawlessly. It’s especially nice that campaign progress was already being tracked for them. There are also some welcome quality-of-life improvements and adjustments. Several maps that weren’t previously available for Warpaths and skirmish have now been added. Overall, this is a fantastic final update and a great sendoff for the game. Well done, Bird’s Eye Games and MicroProse.

Cool game, it has some echoes of the old Microprose games in it... I had a lot of fun with it. The AI is decent, it will flank you, it will probe you and see if you left areas unguarded... not as good as playing against a human in Warno, but still, pretty good. The scripted campaign is pretty cool with a few surprises... the dynamic campaign included in the DLC essentially gives you unlimited replayability and is it is quite fun upgrading and adding units to your core group as the war goes on. The mix of missions is interesting, escort convoy, ambush convoy, attack, defend, raid, meeting engagement, etc... The assortment of units is good, pretty similar to Warno... but the big difference is that you deploy everything in platoons. Sounds are a bit mixed but stuff like the rain falling along with night-time reduced visibility really set the atmosphere. Good game. The one thing I don't like is the graphics are a bit corny because units just past through buildings... there is no hit detection and a few times I swear I saw bullets be fired over/through a small hill.
