Regiments is a Real-Time Tactics game set in Germany 1989. The Cold War has gone hot, and the inferno is raging. Lead your Regiment through the fires of conflict and the fog of war. Break through the lines, call in artillery, maneuver, feign retreats, stage defenses, counter-attack. Do not relent.

Very good game, I play it on and off and it's always a blast. It's set in a Cold War gone hot scenario (thank God it's not WWII, we have more than enough of that) and it's single player only. The fact that it does not need to cater to the screeching monkeys which comprise most online audiences for multiplayer games is a plus in my opinion. Instead of micro managing individual vehicles/soldiers, you command platoons of units. The game is more focused on actual maneuvering, tactics and utilization of terrain and fire support to achieve victory, also the AI seems to be fairly competent. All of this is good, we need more games like this where you need to use some actual strategy or tactics to win, rather than just memorizing builds/meta/decks and frantically clicking around like a lunatic on a sugar overdose.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

underrated wargame, best single player one i have ever played
Mmm
The gameplay in Regiments is superb! There are many in-depth mechanics and lots of ways to mess up, but the game feels honest and doesn't try too hard to exceed its own limits. Plenty of room for creative tactics, lots of different ways to both win and lose. The learning curve is a bit steep, but compared to other games in its genre, Regiments is a fantastic RTS for both hardcore military nerds and casual gamers alike. And despite being only a singleplayer game, it offers a wide variety of different tactical challenges for all skill levels. As an introduction to the RTS genre, Regiments does a fantastic job at playing to its strengths, making for a very satisfying gameplay experience overall. Absolutely worth its full price, including its Winds of Change DLC, even when not on sale. If you're looking for a challenging RTS experience without the hassle of excessive technicalities and an awkward gameplay loop, Regiments lives up to its reputation as being a modest but well-designed RTS in nearly every aspect. Final rating: 4/5
Really enjoying this game while i wait for broken arrow.
Regiments is a gritty, realistic, tactical Cold War RTS done right. The operations (campaign) are great, the OPORDs and AARs are well written and feel right out of Team Yankee or Red Storm Rising. The details and the little quotes embedded throughout the game are a really nice touch to give it a gritty feel- the despair and chaos of ‘what-if’ WWIII cicra 1989. Units act appropriately (although they follow your orders- this isn’t Close Combat where they can be given vague directions and expected to proceed on their own initiative) and combat is visceral. Units are organized into Platoons, so you don’t interact with individual vehicles or squads, but 2-4 tracks and dismounts per unit. The new Winds of Change DLC is one of the better $13 I’ve spent in gaming. Regiments was already an awesome Cold War RTS, but the addition of Air Cavalry, new assets, and new countries breathed new life into it in a very good fashion. The best part is the new procedurally-generated War Paths mode, which is a dynamic infinitely replayable campaign in which you set the starting conditions and pick your Regiment, then shepherd them through the chaos trying to keep them combat effective throughout a campaign. Seems very well done, lots of fun. Fun enough to pull me away from my VR headset. Definitely try it out and support the studio, they deserve it especially considering they ended up releasing about 1/2 the content originally intended for the DLC as an addition to the base game for free in the months leading up to release.
World in Conflict wannabe. Worse in every way. Not enough spawn points, not enough support points, not enough action. Boring! Slower pace overall. Difficulty poorly designed - you'll get swamped with enemy units if you play anything besides easy. Crappy graphics. Crappy controls (ex: you cannot use TAB to change unit selection within a group). Cool roster, though! And still more intuitive than Warno and the likes. Still underwhelming, especially for a release in 2020s.
