About
In Rat Climber, you only have one goal: reach the top of the world.
You must navigate vertical labyrinths and make daring jumps, but be careful; one false move and you go tumbling down.
- Just climb and explore! But there may be a secret cheese in each zone, and something special might happen upon finding them all...
- If there's a small hole, you can probably fit inside. A 3 inch ledge? You can stand on it, Ratty! Start thinking like a rat.
- There are only 3 controls: Jump, dash, and walk
The dash lets you jump farther and slightly higher
The walk allows for precise movement and prevents you from walking off of ledges
If you fall, there's a chance you could recover progress from a recovery path, or land in a previous zone below you, but it's not guaranteed!
Can you guide Ratty to the top of the world and reach cheese heaven? Try your skills in the best 3D ratformer ever made!

Was given this game to try it out, and so far I've given it a few hours of playtime. This is a precision platformer where you play as a little rat with one goal to get to the top of the world and ascend to cheese heaven. While I have yet to find all the secret cheeses in the different zones, I've gotten to experience three of the zones at the time of this review and will definitely go for the rest of the zones after leaving this review. The game runs smooth as butter; it is very well optimized, no gamebreaking bugs and no random glitches that will reset all your progress after you've climbed to a certain height. The developer has done a great job in making this game work phenomenally performance-wise. The gameplay is simple enough, you are a rat and you climb. Where you climb is up to you. I do like the fact that the game gives you a modicum of freedom, for your little rat to explore and get a good look at the environment, and this game is home to very unique environments. The transition between zones is very abrupt and sudden, in terms of both visuals and audio, but the environment seems to bleed very smoothly between the zones, and this is pretty cool to witness. Also, customizable rats is always a plus. Hoping for more customizable rats in the future, I'd like to see a rotund creature doing these dangerous jumps. 8/10, very worth the $5, and definitely getting it for some of my friends.

I'm not typically a fan of these streamerbait style games, but this one is actually fun. The levels are varied and well-designed, the game doesn't feel excessively unfair, and the platforming is actually pretty decent. I ended up investing a ton of time into speedrunning, which is well supported with in-game settings. I think you'll enjoy it if you like rats and platformers and rat platformers.
Rat Climber does a lot of good for the rage climber genre. It is a rage game at its core, but the movement is generally fair, and the obstacles are baked into the level design - making this a much more accessible and visually appealing game.

If your looking for a Parkour or hard 3D platforming game, this is pretty good. Falling can be brutal though as there is NO SAVES or CHECKPOINTS. And Levels are built one on top of the other, with 2 campaigns. I can see some people calling this a RAGE game, But i had fun with it, even if i did sweat balls a few times.
Cute game, it's obviously a labor of love and the animations, environment and controls feel great. Biggest con right now is lack of save points; I spent about an hour getting through the first 2 sections only to learn that that's only 1/4th of the game. Quitting puts you back at the start meaning you'd have to put in multi-hour sit through probably to get to the top. Fun game otherwise though.
Oh, i do adore scuttling and scurrying across and upwards reused assets! it sure would be a shame if i somehow were to fall from this glorious perch in the skies, due to me confusing the Function key with the Control key; surely my keyboard's layout would not swap the two around for literally no reason at all!
Very kewl
