Long story short.. It's fun for a couple of hours, then it's not! This review might be subject to change in the future but i HIGHLY doubt it. Game has nothing to offer me no more..
Really enjoying this - took me back to my Railway Tycoon days .. if you fancy a good looking railway game.. give it a go .. and Yes I do know there is a newer version but I am a cheap skate :-)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Nice management game to try yourself in logistics for a couple of days, although it could be better. Railway Empire, while focusing on train logistics lacks some tools to make this process more comfortable, thus making gameplay repetitively boring at some point. For example laying parallel tracks at the moment when you build it would be so much better with road templates. Instead game wants you to build first track, then build second and parallel, only then allowing you to use semaphores and even then something can go buggy and force you rebuilt the whole thing from time to time... And if you disable 'realistic' roads and will allow every train to run through each other - bots will turn into chess grand-master AI and will abuse the system so well, that they gonna win the game before you even start, so good luck!
Nice mind numbing train organization. It's rewarding watching the cities grow that I supply to, and crushing my opposition
I was expecting an enjoyable simulator experience, but the building and buying was confusing (not knowing when I had bought the train since once clicking "buy" opens another window where I guess the buying actually happens, but eg. industry buying is one click only). The railroad building was clunky and while it was quick to offer building options, the twists and turns in the track were not intuitive most of the time. Also, the tutorial was a bit buggy already, so I don't know if the actual game would be weird like that later on. Not sure what the aim of the game was. Building railroad and buying different trains seemed important, but the industry part felt shallow. Maybe it was because I didn't get that far, but maybe it should be something that is open from the beginning so it would keep me invested. It's a beautiful game and I think it was fun in theory, but the UI was not for me.
It's OK. Not the best though. I do prefer Transport Fever, but if you prefer older trains, then you'll have fun
This game made my brain hurt at first. Took a bit to learn switching and such to optimize track layouts but after that its pretty fun. The only thing I really don't like is the competitors since they force you to play at a faster pace than I wish to and you have AI blocking your tracks and such which is just annoying.
Решил купить все дополнения к игре... японская заставка в главном меню дерьмо! как вернуть старую?
Pretty cool game, if you're looking for a more modern experience, have a look at Railway Empire 2.
