Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Aunque, asi me gustan. Pues, comparado a Quake 4, o Doom 3.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An odd game for sure. The biggest problem with the basic shooting is that enemies are very tough and do fancy animations when they get hit which leads to you being confused as to when they're down and you can move on to the next target, but the guns are satisfying to use so I think the baseline gameplay is fine. The odd part is that this game just has...stuff in it. Racing, crafting, side quests, it feels like they added things that 'needed' to be there to fulfill a checklist, rather than activities that fit the game. All those side activities are fine and fun enough imo, but I don't blame someone for wishing the game was more focused like Doom 2016. Pick it up on sale and form your own opinion, it certainly is an interesting enough oddity to warrant a try.
Total actual time : 12 hours with all side missions Back in 2011, RAGE looked like it might be the next big thing. A strange cocktail of Fallout’s post-apocalypse and Borderlands’ flashy gunplay, with id Software’s pedigree behind it, sounded like a recipe for greatness. But fast-forward to 2025, and playing RAGE today feels less like revisiting a classic and more like digging up an awkward time capsule of design ideas that didn’t quite work then and definitely don’t hold up now. Sure, mods can clean up some of the technical rough edges the infamous texture pop-in, performance quirks, and even a few quality-of-life issues. But what no mod can fix is the core design, which feels caught between two worlds and failing at both. It wants to be open-world, but it’s not. It wants to be linear and focused, but it constantly teases fake freedom. What you actually get are endless invisible walls, cramped spaces that pretend to be vast, and levels that funnel you down hallways disguised as wastelands. The gunplay, which should have been id Software’s strongest asset, is shockingly limp. Weapons sound and feel hollow, enemies soak up bullets like wet sponges, and combat quickly devolves into repetition. Add on quests that are little more than “walk here, shoot this, drive back” and it becomes mindless to the point of tedium. The story doesn’t save it either it’s cold, lifeless, and forgettable, recycling every post-apocalyptic trope without adding any spark of personality. Then there’s the driving. At the time, the vehicular combat and races were marketed as a “big feature.” In reality, it’s floaty, dull, and shallow. Races feel like padding rather than an integrated gameplay pillar, and car handling has all the weight of a shopping cart on ice. To be fair, there are moments where RAGE shines. The atmosphere occasionally nails that dusty, dangerous wasteland vibe, and some of the environments still look decent for their age. There are flashes of fun when you’re in the flow of combat and the soundtrack kicks in. But those moments are rare the exception, not the rule. Ultimately, RAGE is the kind of game that makes you question why you’re playing it. If you’re curious because of RAGE 2, don’t bother. Watch a recap on YouTube and move on. This is a game that already felt outdated in 2015 in 2025, it’s practically prehistoric. id Software gambled big with their “MegaTexture” tech and their half-open-world design, but instead of setting a new standard, RAGE ended up as an awkward stepping stone. It’s a relic, and not in the good “retro classic” sense more in the “oh right, that existed” kind of way.
I had fond memories of playing this when I was younger. But playing now I just felt like the game was just average. Story wasn't very interesting, combat was okay but it felt like the enemies took a bit too much damage before going down. Wing sticks are awesome though. Crafting was a nice feature. The racing feature was just kind of whatever. It felt a bit rushed at the end. The main character is treated like a total bada** but it just didn't feel like it I guess. Had some fun mini games though. This is a weaker id game, that's for sure. Not bad but not great. Buy on a sale.
Created by the legendary id Software, Rage was huge back then, for better and for worse. It's an interesting product, let's say. You wake up in a cryo-chamber after Earth has been hit by an asteroid. Everyone in your Ark is dead but you. Interesting premise that has potential but is not really explored. I guess, but the word that defines it for me is "incomplete." No real motivation, no real enemies, no antagonist, your friends come and go without any closure. Talking about closure, the ending is abrupt and absurdly anti-climactic, and considering the gigantic length of the intro, I expected it to go on a little longer. There's not even a Credits screen, I had to look online to make sure that really was the ending. So basically, no conclusion for LITERALLY anything. (Maybe Rage 2? Doubt, but who knows?) The characters are pretty caricatures for a post-apocalyptic game. Their visuals and animations are also another topic of interest, the characters are very well designed and well animated, with plastic movement and interesting facial animations that I don't think were that common back in 2011. You have to see it to understand. There is a shine in their eyes that I don't think I've seen anywhere else. I played it on hard, and besides the enemies being a bit too bullet-spongey, the gun variety, different ammo, and gadgets made the combat varied and fun to play. Sadly, the game is locked at 60 fps, but it does not feel bad to play even with this lock. Those dudes know how to make a shooter, damn. A huge portion of the gameplay happens in a car roaming the wasteland, but it's very mediocre overall. The physics are ok, the combat is a bit clunky, and the weapons are all auto-aim, but it's not clear when you should or should not shoot, and sometimes you blast the walls/floor even with an enemy 10m right in front of you. There are races in this game, and strangely, they are pretty fun. I was surprised about this too, I thought it was going to be hot garbage, but it's pretty good, and you can upgrade your cars in many ways. Graphics-wise, Rage is both one of the prettiest games I've seen from that era and also one of the ugliest. Lemme explain: It's a game that's beautiful in the macro and awful in the micro. The vistas? Beautiful. The mountains? Awesome. The cities? Detailed and rich. But every single texture, prop, or object is a mess when observed up close. Some objects are UNRECOGNIZABLE. Seriously, just try it. And that's besides the obscenely awful texture rendering delays. That's not a demerit tho, the game is packed with never-seen-before details and almost feels like a tech demo on some points. While endlessly tinkering with CFG files to make the game more tolerable, I've read about Megatexture and idTech 5, and honestly, these guys were way ahead of their time. I definitely like this way more than any Unreal 5 slop. Talking about the delays, the audio is pretty damn good when it works. Clearly this game's engine can't handle it maxed out in 1440p in a 2026 rig, so the game just ♥♥♥♥♥ itself, and the audio doesn't work unless it was already reproduced at least once in that session, the same as textures. Wowza! Another interesting thing is that for some reason the achievements don't unlock in the 64-bit version of the game, which is the superior version. So you have to take your autosave (MUST be the autosave) from your game directory, paste it into your saved games folder (user/saved games), and boot the 32-bit version for the achievements to unlock. I don't have words to describe this bizarre-ness. Also, the achievements unlock in batches once the game loads, so it will look like you used a program or something. As for the DLC, I played it pretty early on and got some powerful weapons, so yea, once you get the lock grinder, go for it. Also, house and partner, aka the dream. In the end, Rage is the definition of an incomplete game that tried too much and failed almost everywhere. Jack of all trades, master of none. The gunplay is excellent, and the tech is revolutionary, but every other aspect of this game is neglected and mid, which just reinforces that it feels like a tech demo. Considering the price it's being sold for today, I definitely recommend it, but I feel for those that bought it for full price expecting a revolutionary game just to be left with massive, gigantic, gargantuan blue balls.
Weird resolution & scaling issues. Keys not re-bindable. C is crouch instead of L-Ctrl. Shows X-box glyphs even if you are on PC & your controller hasn't been plugged in. Can't adjust FOV, & FOV is very narrow by default. Mouse behaves very strangely in menus. Stretchy shoulder pads that look like they are supposed to be made of metal, but bend like rubber when the character moves their arms. Takes about 13 minutes before you get to shoot anything; there are worse games for this, but I want to hit the ground gunning, so this is still too long of a wait in my opinion.
