Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

7.7/10 Rage is an extremely detailed and stylish game that feels like a fever dream and far from finished. And yet the more I played it, the more I loved it. The inventory & crafting is weird. Main quests feel like strange side quests from a different game than itself. Rendering & optimization is horrible and good at the same time. Resource gathering & management feels slightly off like something obvious is missing. The racing events are so easy and repetitive. The "open world" is hardly an open world but it's honestly better that way. The dlc feels like it shouldn't exist. For the first half of the game it's setting up a much larger world and story but then very quickly takes a turn into being just a short story with a forgettable ending. It's definitely the weirdest 1st person shooter I've ever played but also with some of the best world building I've ever seen.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Short version: Rage is fun, fairly short, features lots of neat gameplay systems, but has a huge problem bringing it all together to make for a fulfilling experience. It's still fun, but you can tell there are many disparate pieces that never form a cohesive whole. Longer version: Rage has a lot of ok pieces that seem like this should have been a much longer and fulfilling experience. There's a lot of missions, both in the main storyline and as side quests, but they feel like they did just enough to tick the box to say "cool this is in the game now we don't need to do anything else with it". There's a bunch of tools that are available to the player, like RC bomb cars, wingsticks (boomerangs with 3 arms) that decapitate your enemies, placeable sentry guns, etc, but you're never encouraged to use them; you have the tools but they ultimately aren't all that useful (advanced wingsticks are awesome though). There's a full-featured racing and vehicular combat system, but you don't really have to deal with it all that much and cars eventually just end up being a means to get from one place to another. There's a big world to drive around, but not really anything in it. There is an incredible animation system for enemies, where they are expressive, react to getting shot in specific body parts (ie: shoot an enemy in the foot when he's running at you and he will kind of stumble mid-run, only to have to limp around until you kill him), and smoothly maneuver through environments in surprising and interesting ways. Maybe that's ultimately what Rage's problem is, that it wanted to do all these things and do them well (and they admittedly executed on them very well), but then they didn't really expand on them beyond that. It's like they had a feature list that they went through and said "yep that's in now, that's in now, that's in now; great, we're done!", but they weren't able to bring it all together to really knock it out of the park. I guess you could say there are good parts that do not make for a better wholistic experience. You can really see where things fall flat towards the end of the game: you run out of side quests very quickly; weapons become hugely unbalanced (difficulty drops to zero once you become able to mass produce pop rockets and bandages); cars are only required to get through some story gates in racing, without ever really feeling like they are required (except for getting from one place to another). The story, much like everything else, starts off promising but farts out about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through. You get introduced to the world and then suddenly you're on the final stretch towards the end of the game. The plot never goes anywhere substantial, and characters never matter. It's about as cliched as it gets with "you are the resistance!" and "they are the authority!". I like clear good vs evil stories, but come on people, stop writing stories that boil down to "them bad! you good!", and that's as deep as it gets. At least have a reason. And please, please, please, stop calling the good guys who are fighting the bad guys "the resistance". It's so unbelievably lazy, overused, and boring. The last 1/3 of the game is like a beeline to the end. You get to the second area and there's only a handful of things you do in the main questline before it's over. It's really weird. And the assault on the Authority's stronghold is just tragic. You get to what's supposed to be the enemy's most dangerous base and you just walk in a side door. I don't think there's even 10 corridors that you walk through to get to the end, and enemies are popping out of literal monster closets. This area feels like it was thrown together in a very short amount of time. The ending is the ultimate "that's it?" moment. You get to this room, push a few buttons, kill a few waves of enemies, and the final cutscene plays. And yeah, that's it. Super underwhelming. Still way better than Rage 2. The graphics are smudgy and blompy. I know it's because of the Megatexture tech they developed for the game, and that they weren't able to ship the highest levels of texture detail so the textures we got were all a lowered resolution, but why haven't they released the higher resolution textures by now? We're 15 years later, where we've got goofball call of duty games taking up 250GB of space now. Surely Rage high res textures are smaller than that? It's also obvious the game has been forgotten to the dustbin of time, as there's a lot of technical issues with playing on modern tech, and bugs that have been there since release. They STILL have the bug where you fall through the garage floor in the second town. The combat is absolutely fun. There's lots of tools for you to use, the guns feel great (this is my favorite shotgun I think in any game, it just feels CHONKY), and enemies move around and try to outmaneuver you while using the environment in ways you usually don't see from other games. When you're in combat, the game is great. Unfortunately there's a lot of systems and features that just aren't connected to anything else, and it largely ends up feeling underwhelming and undercooked. Not buggy or unpolished, just missing another year of balancing and finished content. Rage is good, but it's clear there was a better game they were aiming for that they just couldn't get to.
its fine, but i think they didnt finish the entie game. After you connect the arks on earth at teh end......the Authority is still roaming Subway city, nothing changes at the end of the game. it feels like theres a 3rd of the game still to go after the ending.
I haven't played this game in years but my kids asked me about it and felt I should warn others just in case. I beat this game in 16 hours as a casual gamer. What I remember from playing over a decade about before the birth of my first son, who is now 13, is how terrible the ending was. You are just in a room with regular enemies coming at you and once you kill them and do whatever it is you have to do the game just ends. I remember being annoyed that I spent the money on the game after all the marketing. This game was one of the game's that broke the camel's back for me and caused me NEVER to buy another game on release until I saw a few reviews. It really felt like the beginning of the end for AAA single player games thinking back on it now. Lost a lot of faith in ID and Bethesda after this one.
I had fond memories of playing this when I was younger. But playing now I just felt like the game was just average. Story wasn't very interesting, combat was okay but it felt like the enemies took a bit too much damage before going down. Wing sticks are awesome though. Crafting was a nice feature. The racing feature was just kind of whatever. It felt a bit rushed at the end. The main character is treated like a total bada** but it just didn't feel like it I guess. Had some fun mini games though. This is a weaker id game, that's for sure. Not bad but not great. Buy on a sale.
😨👍
Aunque, asi me gustan. Pues, comparado a Quake 4, o Doom 3.
A classic shooter from Doom's developers that was ambitious for its time, RAGE has definitely aged a bit, but I still enjoy it all the same! The gunplay is punchy and satisfying, the driving is pretty good, and the story serves its purpose just fine (even if the ending is disappointing). The graphics can certainly be dated and there's a lot of muddied colors and filters, it's an Xbox360-era game after all, and getting between missions can feel segmented and sluggish at times - but, for what it is, it's a solid shooter and a fun time! I'd LOVE to see a remake of this game personally - there's a lot of potential, and I think it could become the amazing game it was trying to be!
