Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Rage Runner, developed by Hypercane Studios and published by Plug In Digital, is a high-speed arcade racing experience that blends reflex-based obstacle dodging with a minimalist science fiction aesthetic. Rather than focusing on traditional racing mechanics like laps, opponents, or vehicle customization, the game distills the genre down to pure speed, reaction time, and memorization. It places players in control of a futuristic craft hurtling through narrow tunnels and geometric corridors, where survival depends entirely on split-second decisions and precise movement. The core gameplay revolves around navigating increasingly complex obstacle courses at blistering speeds. Players steer their craft along walls, ceilings, and floors within cylindrical or trench-like environments, avoiding barriers that appear with little margin for error. Movement is responsive and direct, giving players full control over vertical and horizontal shifts, acceleration bursts, and braking adjustments. However, the challenge lies not in mastering complex systems but in maintaining composure under pressure. Even a minor miscalculation can result in an instant crash, resetting progress and forcing players to restart the run. This immediate failure loop forms the backbone of Rage Runner’s addictive design. Levels are short enough to encourage repeated attempts, and the learning curve is built around pattern recognition and muscle memory. As players retry sections, they gradually internalize obstacle placements and timing windows, leading to incremental improvements. The satisfaction of completing a previously punishing segment without crashing is intense and rewarding, particularly because success feels earned rather than granted. The game leans heavily into this “one more try” philosophy, capturing the spirit of classic arcade challenge titles. Rage Runner offers both structured and procedurally generated content. The handcrafted levels are designed with specific obstacle patterns intended to test particular reflexes or movement combinations. These levels reward practice and memorization, as players can refine their routes and optimize their speed through repetition. In contrast, the procedurally generated modes introduce unpredictability, ensuring that no two runs are exactly the same. This variety keeps the experience fresh and prevents over-reliance on memorized solutions, instead emphasizing adaptability and raw reflex skill. Leaderboards play a significant role in extending replay value. Since the primary goal is achieving the fastest possible completion time, competitive players are incentivized to shave seconds off their personal bests. The presence of global rankings adds a communal dimension, encouraging players to refine techniques and push performance limits. The pursuit of leaderboard dominance transforms what could have been a simple reflex game into a competitive time-trial experience with long-term engagement potential. Visually, the game adopts a clean and functional 3D style. The environments are built from geometric shapes and sci-fi textures that prioritize readability at high speeds. While the aesthetic is not visually extravagant, its clarity is intentional. At the velocities Rage Runner demands, excessive visual complexity would hinder player focus. The streamlined presentation ensures obstacles are immediately recognizable, which is crucial in a game where reaction windows are razor-thin. That said, some players may find the visuals somewhat basic compared to more modern racing titles. Audio design supports the sense of urgency. Electronic music and sound effects reinforce the adrenaline-fueled pacing of each run. The soundtrack complements the speed without overwhelming the gameplay, creating a focused atmosphere where tension builds naturally as the craft accelerates through increasingly dense obstacle fields. The sound cues also provide subtle feedback, helping players anticipate impacts or gauge momentum shifts. One notable feature that enhances longevity is the inclusion of a level editor and Workshop support. Players can create custom obstacle courses and share them with the community, extending the life of the game beyond its default content. This user-generated dimension allows for creative experimentation and introduces new challenges crafted by other players, broadening the scope of available experiences. Despite its strengths, Rage Runner is unapologetically niche. It offers little in terms of narrative, world-building, or progression systems beyond skill mastery. There are no story arcs, character development, or elaborate upgrade trees. The focus remains entirely on mechanical precision and speedrunning. For some, this purity is refreshing and compelling. For others, the steep difficulty and limited variety may lead to frustration or fatigue. Ultimately, Rage Runner is a game built around mastery. It rewards dedication, patience, and quick reflexes while demanding resilience in the face of repeated failure. Its blend of structured levels, procedural challenges, and leaderboard competition provides ample reason to return for players who enjoy skill-based arcade experiences. While it may lack the polish or breadth of larger racing franchises, it delivers a focused and intense challenge that captures the essence of high-speed arcade gameplay. Rating: 5/10
An excellent game for me, fun hours on it. Thanks to developer, Rage Runner is a good game.

Tags: Casual - Runner Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Frustating to play. Technical issues. No proper resolution support but has Xbox360 pad working out of box. I find the experience much poorer than most tube runners or most runners period. Rage runner offers two cruising speeds, way too slow, and way too fast by way of afterburner. The draw distance is a little bit shorter than you would need to use the fast speed, especially for larger objects which appear rather late. Giving you very little reaction time. Since this is in third person and the ship is rather large, your own ship can obscure an obstacle straight ahead, specially when using afterburners, or when firing the weapon. The weapon and the afterburner dont really mesh well together as I would catch up to the trail of smoke of the missile as it moved confusing the action further. The vertical movement axis is inverted in the tradition of flight games which I felt was not appropriate for this title. Finally the exact hitbox of the unevenly shaped asteroids and the ship felt imprecise and I would sometimes get hit without really having had a visual sign that I had made contact. On afterburners, the animation for ship hitting a target happens with a long day. There are more issues but this just about covers all the reasons this is not worth bothering with.
