Reviews
While it does have a few problems and frustrating moments, it still is a really enjoyable game. The writing is pretty funny, the gameplay is good, the soundtrack is good, and it has a really nice aesthetic. I wish it had been more successful, because it deserves it.
Disclaimer: I only played 2.5hrs and got bored (so there may be good stuff later I missed) Disappointing, repetetive. Writing is pretty good, though not brilliant. It wasn't *bad* - I just hoped for something great and it wasn't there

Tags: Topdown - Isaaclike Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Console/retro flash game grade with Xbox360 pad support. Not twinstick. Limited field of view. Cluttered. Secondary attacks all are consumables. Gameplay loop a bit bland. This is is a simple zelda style hack&slash adventure where you get keys, clear out mazes of small sprites that hurt you on contact, pull levers and activate little cutscenes. The animation work is minimal. Movement is a bit on the floaty side and combat is a bit monotonous with the spam of a main attack and the careful use of a consumable secondary. No XP or much RPG element here. All there is to do is try to collect more powers and consumables to swap between using the shoulder pads. Game does not support D pad and is not twinstick which hurts gameplay quite a bit, arguably for no reason. There is a world map which seem sto cover a generous amount of locations. The audio loop could have been more varied. Conclusion: It is sort of a polished but bland indie game with acceptable but not very satisfying controls and mechanics. Does not quite meet the standard to be kept in permanent library.
La idea esta bien pero, el apartado gráfico no me ha terminado de gustar. Quizás le de otra oportunidad y cambie mi análisis.
It has a beautiful art style and scenery but the game lacks in gameplay and ingaging story telling... Often you dont know where to go or what to do. I would not recomend it becouse it gets boraing after a few hours.
gameplay trop statique
It's a Zelda clone, except: the spelling errors are embarassingly bad and frequent, your character quacks when you take damage, design is questionable. Story is so critical to single-player adventure games, and yet it feels like the devs just gave up on the dialogue. You get a plethora of consumable items, but most of them don't have any semblance of a satisfactory description. One of them is a phoenix feather, which you'd imagine resurrects yourself if you take fatal damage and are obviously hard to come by. Then why the hell are you able to equip use and waste them? Worst of all, there's a lot of hidden secrets and caves you blow up with bombs like in Zelda, which sounds pretty neat. Thing is, most of the time though you need keys to actually get the loot which is usually just more garbage consumables, and damn do you need a lot of keys. You can blow open an unmarked cave to find an empty room with a locked door, and if you're all out of keys there's nothing you can do. Pretty much "Rack N Ruin"s the satisfaction of exploration. IMO, with some respectable polish to the writing if nothing else this game would be stellar. Right now, meh.
good game
This game is what happens when you take Zelda and smash it together with a little Dark Souls. The main character is a menace, and fun to root for (even as he's a terrible person, I couldn't help but cheer). Not a super long game, but good value for the price. I definitely recommend if you're interested.
