cheap mobile game that is ported to pc, mindless, not very fun. only could be good for steam trading cards, but that's about where the fun begins and ends

Racer 8 is a boring and frustrating puzzle game that fails miserably. The graphics are outdated, the music is annoying, and the gameplay is repetitive and tedious. You have to rotate tiles on a grid to form a track for your car, which is constantly moving and has no control over its speed or direction. The game has no challenge or variety, as you just have to follow the same pattern over and over again to reach the checkpoints and the finish line. The game also has many bugs and glitches that make it even more frustrating to play. For example, sometimes your car gets stuck on a tile or falls off the track for no reason. The game also crashes frequently and does not save your progress properly. Racer 8 is not worth your time or money. There are many better games out there that offer more fun, excitement, and realism than this poor excuse for a game. I would not recommend Racer 8 to anyone.

Badly optimized port of a somewhat bad game. Let's see, game is stuck in the windowed mode. It can be overridden by Alt+Enter, but whatever. There's no option to change that in-game itself. Furthermore: The game runs at just 15FPS, yep. Unless you override the weird windowed mode. But even then, you can't get past 30FPS, or so. Normally: Such FPS would not be a huge issue. But in this game it actually causes slowmotion. So, the entire game basically felt slowed down. One otherwise short level feels like a long one. Because everything truly moves at snail speed. The default price of this disaster is 4,99€. Nah. Such price is definitely not worth it, It's terrible. I think most of the issues could be simply fixed. But it came out in 2014, no updates since then. So It's quite safe to assume this won't get fixed. The gameplay consists of slowly rotating tracks. But even that seems to be rather bugged, sadly. Sometimes your car explodes for like no reason. Overall: I can't recommend this trash, It's rough. And I simply have to give it my negative review.
