Qube Qross is a challenging logical puzzle game, like Nonogram in 3D, solving the cute voxel puzzles with chill music and neon graphic style.

You like picross games and think this one looks like fun? Please think twice.. I love picross games but this one is more a "struggle with controls" kind of game than a relaxing puzzle game and seeing the response of the developer on the steam forums, this is by choice. Their response on somebody pointing out the struggles they had with the controls is as followed: Thanks for the feedback, we're considering a different controlling way to Picross, this is more like a retro adventure or puzzle game style, that you need to solve the puzzles by limiting controlling ways. Putting blocks on the ground level isn't a problem, everything above that is a struggle because to place a block on a higher level, you need to place blocks under it first, place the right block and then remove the blocks below again. I was turned off very quickly while I was looking forward to another 3d picross game. I know that my playtime is very little, but that is how unbearable the controls were to me. They removed the demo, so sadly it isn't possible anymore to try it out before buying the game. Another disappointing point is that there is no save options for the levels. You have to finish a level in one sitting or lose your progress. Want to play a fun 3d picross game, try out Voxelgram Want fun 2d puzzle games, try out PictoQuest or Piczle Cross Adventure

Misadvertising. There's zero challenge in this game. Game description: "a challenging logical puzzle game, like Nonogram in 3D". Reality: absolutely trivial, mind-numbing levels that you solve on full autopilot while listening to podcasts or talking on the phone. This game has nothing to do with Picross/Nonogram mechanics, it's basically a glorified Paint By Numbers where you're told exactly what to draw so you draw it. I can't even describe the game as "too easy" because that would imply there is at least some challenge that exists here. To demonstrate, I recorded myself playing through one of the level packs (10 puzzles) for the first time. Note that it's a level pack located past mid-game. Result: solved in ~4:40. At least half the time was spent on level transition animations so it puts us at about 15-20 seconds per puzzle. Yeah. It's that bad. Video proof. About 1.5 hours in I've solved 100 levels and beat 10k in Time Attack. Honestly it was a waste of time but I just wanted to see how long it'll take. I wouldn't downvote a game for just being too easy as there's an audience for this. But I was mislead into buying this thinking it's a challenging nonogram-like (exactly as the game describes itself) but it's not. I suggest you try Voxelgram which is an actual 3d nonogram game where you'll have to do at least some logical deducitons from time to time.
< - - - The Introduction - - - > You like Picross? You think you have played them all? You want a new challenging Picross? In 3D? Then Welcome to QUBE QROSS! < - - - The Gameplay - - - > With the Help of Numbers on the outside Walls, you have to place Cubes to complete a Figure. That may sound easy, but isn`t. You can place the Cubes with Mouse and you are able to turn your Picross around. That is important because otherwise you are not able to complete it. The Mouse Controll is easy and fluid. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2325232718 < - - - The Impressions - - - > I like this challenging 3D thinking. It took me a Moment to activate my inner 3D Vision but then it worked. It is so much fun completing the figures Step after Step. So much fun seeing how it fits together while turning around it and put more and more Cubes on it. One interesting Part is, sometimes you have to place wrong Cubes to place the right Cubes on it. You are able to delete every Cube anytime. That leads to more options and more fun. And all guided by a very nice Music, that never gets annoying and fits in very well. 100 Figures in different categories are waiting for you and if this is not enough, there is a challenging Time Atack Mode. Simple Game, maximum Fun. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2325232944 < - - - Famous last Words - - - > A very big Thanks ot he Developer for this great Game.

Qube Qross is a minimalist yet visually charming puzzle game developed by Poly Poly Games in collaboration with Kibi Games. It offers a voxel-based spin on the classic Nonogram or Picross-style puzzles, reimagining the traditional grid format into a three-dimensional space. Rather than working on a flat surface, players manipulate cubic shapes in a 3D grid, carving out forms based on numerical clues provided on the sides. This shift from two to three dimensions introduces a spatial logic component that’s both engaging and accessible, making Qube Qross an appealing choice for puzzle fans who enjoy a blend of logic and light creative thinking. The core gameplay loop centers around deciphering numerical indicators along two opposing walls, guiding the player to eliminate or retain cubes on corresponding horizontal layers. The puzzles are structured across ten themed stages, each containing ten handcrafted levels. While the game starts off extremely accessible, it maintains a fairly relaxed difficulty curve throughout. Even as new levels are introduced, the complexity doesn’t escalate significantly. This design choice makes the game approachable and calming, but for puzzle veterans looking for a true challenge, it may feel a bit underwhelming. Despite its branding as a "challenging" voxel puzzle game, most players will find themselves breezing through levels without needing to spend much time pondering. Where Qube Qross succeeds most is in its presentation. The neon voxel art style is simple but striking, with a clean interface and satisfying feedback sounds that enhance the experience. The background music is light and relaxing, reinforcing the game’s meditative atmosphere. It’s clearly designed as a “comfort” game—something to play in short bursts while unwinding. The puzzle shapes are pleasing, and the voxel models created at the end of each level have a nice variety, from abstract forms to small objects and creatures. Even if the logic component isn't deeply challenging, the visual progression and creative payoffs keep things feeling fresh enough through the brief runtime. In terms of features, Qube Qross offers controller support and works well on both Windows and macOS platforms. It's lightweight in performance and polished enough for smooth gameplay across a range of systems. It also supports multiple interface languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese, which adds a layer of accessibility for global audiences. Time Attack mode is available for those seeking a faster-paced or competitive spin on the base game, though it doesn’t dramatically change the gameplay formula. The interface is intuitive, making it easy for both newcomers to the genre and casual players to jump right in without confusion. One area where Qube Qross falls short is in overall replayability and depth. With only 100 puzzles and a relatively narrow difficulty range, it doesn’t take long to see everything the game has to offer. The handcrafted levels, while well-designed, sometimes begin to feel too similar in logic, and advanced techniques found in more intricate Picross-style games—like forced deductions, complex intersections, or multi-layer logic traps—are largely absent. As a result, even the most visually complex voxel figures can often be completed through a simple process of elimination and basic deduction. Players looking for intricate brain-teasers may find the experience a little too relaxed and predictable. Still, Qube Qross doesn’t pretend to be more than it is. It offers a short, meditative puzzle experience in a clean, visually distinct package. The voxel format gives a refreshing twist to a familiar formula, and the emphasis on ease-of-use and relaxed pacing makes it ideal for winding down or introducing someone new to logic-based puzzles. It’s a game that embraces simplicity and uses it to its advantage—whether that’s through its soothing aesthetics, short-form level structure, or low-stress gameplay. For those seeking a gentle entry into the world of logic puzzles, or for players who simply want a creative, calming break, Qube Qross is a solid and satisfying option. Just don’t expect it to push your logical reasoning to its limits. Rating: 6/10
