Quantum Sleeper is a bit of a combination of Scanner Sombre and Alien Isolation and it's quite fun to play. A research facility has stopped communicating with the outside world. You have been sent to find out what has happened and to retrieve the research data. The facility is completely dark. You have a flashlight, which can only illuminate a few feet before you, but you also have a scanner that paints a 3D pixelated image of your surroundings. As you enter more deeply into the facility, you encounter something hostile. You cannot see it with your flashlight, but it registers as a wavering red presence on your scanner. As it moves, it distorts your scanned image of your surroundings. If it moves quickly, and it can move very quickly, it completely erases your location scan, which leaves you blind. The entity produces very hostile, unnerving sounds. It's quite menacing and uncomfortable when you know that it is near. If it finds you, you are instantly killed. So you have to use stealth to explore the facility and avoid it. It's not a long game, but it is quite enjoyable to play. It has very little narrative, but the mood, sound and mechanics keep it very involving. Quantum Sleeper is by no means a great game, but it is quite good for what it is. I'm glad that I played it.
I've just spent an hour with Quantum Sleeper, and I can already feel the game pulling me in. The sound design is absolutely spot-on, creating a perfect mix of suspense and a continuous sense of eeriness. When I opened the first gate, the creaks and screeches had me thinking, 'Okay, we're in for a ride here.' The idea of navigating with the scanner is very creative. Compared to the traditional torch (which you also have), it adds a whole new layer of visualization to the environment. It's something I've never seen before, and it forces you to perceive your surroundings in a completely different way. Overall, if you love sci-fi horror and immersive tension, this game is definitely a must-try!
I really enjoyed this game. A new type of experience and well-executed at that. Any chance of more I wonder?
From the atmosphere to the sound effects, everything in this game gives chills down your spine. Other games have messed around with the Lidar concept for a game in the past, but none got quite as well executed as this one. If you're looking for a hooror game to binge through a couple days of spooktober this month, why not give this game a try! Spectacular work done. I'm thrilled to see where this team takes this along with other games in the future. Keep an eye on this game studio! :)
I'm not one for these types of games.... the horror/scary stuff but when I saw this was coming up for release I jumped on it. Gaming is stale these days. Everything is cookie cutter so I stick to the games I already know I enjoy. I wanted something that I hadn't seen before. Quantum Sleeper will drown you in immersion. The LIDAR effect is amazing. I haven't put a lot of time into this but I am a big fan already. Most people can tell a game is not for them within the first 10 minutes... I knew as soon as the world lit up in a unique way. Interdiction has brought something to the table that is visually amazing. I hope that others find this game and give it a go. For under $10 it is absolutely worth it.
Very creative game that mixes visual and sound design that is different than any game i played before. It really seems beautiful at first, but will put you at the end of your seat, and make it intense run through trying to find you way out without making much noise. I recommend trying this out if you want something fun, new, and kinda spooky.
Have never speed run getting a Darwin Award so fast.
As one of the devs I hate to admit but I cant sit through an entire playt without taking a break. Creature just loves sneaking up on me. We love watching your streams and videos. We have made a lot of changes based on things we noticed or were suggested by you. We hope to continue this story and that this introduction has hooked you!
A really good game. Talking with the devs, this is essentially a "proof of concept" for a full series which I'm super excited for. Can't wait to finish my analysis of this game
It's good for what it is. It could definitely be better, but I imagine it scratches an itch that other games don't and that's a positive thing.
