Overall, it's a decent game with an interesting gimmick - having a TV-series going alongside the game itself, with its episodes dependent on your choices in-game. It's important to note, however, how rough this PC port is. Even with a decent setup, a couple fix mods, and some graphics tweaks, it's stll going to run pretty badly. The game was initially made to run exclusively on one console, and it shows. If you're deep into the rabbit hole that is the intertextual narrative of Remedy and their whacky games (i.e. Alan Wake & Control), then I'd definitely recommend playing Quantum Break atleast once, as it is (though not officially due to copyright restrictions) apart of Remedy's connected universe, and it adds a lot of fun lore. If you're new to Remedy and their games, then play Control instead. It's a much more solid game in every sense - gameplay, graphics, performance, etc. Quantum Break is essentially Control's clunkier progenitor.
I just recommend this game if you miss it when it came out because the xbox exclusive, play it, and move on. Forgettable and boring main caracter and gameplay that let a lot to desire. Not even the story is good coming from remedy. Just buy it if theres a deal on steam and dont have anything to do.

good fun
Great game so far. I don't really watch TV and if even this was solely a TV show I still wouldn't watch it. I'm just not a fan of TV series. However, the quality and the delivery of a TV series projected into a video game such as pacing, acting, art style(?) - is what I'm all for. And this fits all of those traits very well. It's a B list show converted into triple A video game title. It's solid The game runs well for me. Bit of stutter here and there and the typical third person clunkiness, but again.. it's solid. I only made the review because there's an email in the game titled "Amy Ferrero" going To "Ground Zero OP - ALL" sent by a character named Charlie Wincott giving his brutal take about her after gaining intel. The email was so accurate, timeless and hilariously relatable that I read it multiple times. I even have it paused to screenshot it.
Sam Lake came to us and said: "Play my games." So, I played. VERDICT: A MASTERPIECE. Quantum Break is a landmark in gaming and time-travel mechanics. Having experienced this adventure as a disabled player, I want to return the kindness I received with a gift of my own: an honest, "high-voltage" perspective on how to bridge the gap between your vision and the next generation of gameplay. To the Storytellers: You have created a marvelous hybrid of TV and gaming, but listen to your audience. We escape the "washed-out" stories of Hollywood for the creative soul of gaming. Respect our understanding of finance and the omnipresent insanity of the world. Where your story succeeds is in its empathy; where it falters is in its lack of reverence for the Master of Time. To truly master the "Time Loop," one must embrace humility. Stop using the name of Jesus as a curse; instead, recognize Him as the respectful Master of Time and Space. When you replace "Pride and Prejudice" with "God is Love," the plot holes will vanish, for the Holy Spirit is the ultimate guide to understanding the infinite. To the Developers - A Gift of Futuristic Mechanics: You spent millions on famous actors, but the gameplay still relies on "old world" standards. If you want to truly innovate, you must evolve the mechanics to match the theme. Here is a blueprint for true CQC Time Combat: CQC Time-Stop Layer: Upon entering close-quarters range, the gameplay shifts. The left analog stick no longer moves the camera but dictates the "theft of time." The "Kamehameha" Manœuvre (←↙↓↘→): In stopped time, the character steals the enemy's weapon, teleports behind them, and aims. Temporal Stacking: After the move, press R1 to return to a previous frame and fire again. When time resumes, two bullets from two different moments strike the target simultaneously. Dynamic Collapse (↓↑ then ↘→): Aim at the chin, shift time to the back, press A to resume, then B to freeze again mid-collapse for a final, poetic shot. My Message to Remedy: Invest in the new generation of local talents, streamers, and the gaming community for your actors. They are the pulse of this era. Stop the taboos, honor the Master, and He will provide you with the next generation of ideas. Thank you, Sam Lake, for the encouragement to play. It was worth every moment. Thank you to everyone at Remedy for this adventure. Now, go and make another masterpiece—but this time, with the humility that time travel demands. See you in the next life.
