Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fight corrupted knights, deformed ogres and an army of twisted creatures across four dark dimensions of infested military bases, ancient medieval castles, lava-filled dungeons and gothic cathedrals in search of the four magic runes. Only after you have collected the runes will you hold the power to defeat the ancient evil that threatens all of humanity.
Quake also comes with both original expansion packs: “The Scourge of Armagon” and “Dissolution of Eternity,” as well as three expansions developed by the award-winning team at MachineGames: “Dimension of the Past,” “Dimension of the Machine,” and the all-new “Dawn of the Machine.”
Ranger is trapped in a dimension of endless illusion—reliving the same violent cycles for what feels like lifetimes, dying thousands of times in a futile attempt to escape. Wearied but unbroken, he has heard rumor of The Nightmare Machine.
Beyond the hordes of monsters—twisted by an eternity in the Elder realms—lies the Machine. It is believed its destruction will shatter the illusion, finally breaking the loop.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Cool game!
I would recommend this game to everyone, it is the bedrock of modern FPS and one of the best games ever made. It's fast, atmospheric and incredibly fun, even decades later.
This is a review of the remaster and new content, not the original game. I find it baffling that Nightdive chose to replace Quake's hardest difficulty, nightmare, with a completely different ruleset that was originally designed for a fan made gameplay mod (Copper, and only as it existed in 2021) while calling it the same thing. To keep it brief, enemy attack speed has been lowered back to its original easy-hard values as a tradeoff for health now being capped at 50. And short of messing around with external software, there's no way to revert these changes. I actually didn't mind playing the game in a fresh way like this but can't understand its implementation. Was anybody actually asking for this to be shipped in the base game? And even if so, why not add an option to toggle the original rules as they were? Everything else that's new has a toggle in a nice in-game menu, and no other 'balance' changes were made to the game which makes this one exception doubly bizarre. Graphically it's fine. It has what you'd expect from a modern remaster, although missing some niche features like higher levels of AA needed to eliminate shimmering when you're playing with unfiltered textures at lower resolutions. The music is all there and you don't have to mess with anything to get it to work (looking at you, Quakespasm). Everything on the technical end is passable but won't blow any of the most recent source ports out of the water. My biggest complaint here is probably the ominous "Connecting to Bethesda.net" you have to see every time you boot the game up, which is a layer of intrusion that seems totally unnecessary to me. That being said, and especially for how often this goes on sale, Dimension of the Machine is some of the best stuff commercial Quake has to offer and is a hard recommend even as a relatively short $10 experience. Episode-to-episode quality can vary but encounter design and difficulty are generally elevated across the table compared to the '90s expansions. And that's to say nothing of the absolutely gorgeous brushwork by the talented mappers at MachineGames (including studio director and veteran Quake mapper Jerk Gustafsson, whose 2016 solo project Dimension of the Past is also included in the remaster). I recommend playing at 0 brightness as god intended, it provides an enormous amount of atmosphere to many of the levels and especially Hell or Dark Water which now may be one of my favorite FPS maps of all time. It's also worth noting this is by far the most painless way to play multiplayer/co-op, if you're into that sort of thing. And there's also an add-on browser which I cannot comment on as I have never touched it outside looking at it once on launch day. All in all, not a bad way to experience Quake. But Ironwail is what you're looking for if you don't need all the bells and whistles and want an unaltered experience. Quick edit: I can't remember if the game comes with texture filtering turned on by default or not, but if it does, turn it off immediately! And be sure to try dx11 if you're getting poor performance.
this ♥♥♥♥ gas bro
Un clásico que redefinió la formula DOOM explotándola al máximo con esa atmosfera oscura tridimensional y con una jugabilidad frenética y adictiva. Memorable y con mucho contenido como las expansiones y mods.
I've been obsessed with the Quake II Enhanced edition for years now, and I only just found out that Quake(1) also got an Enhanced release — I'm completely floored all over again. What a grievous oversight on my part!!
