Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You are Ranger, a warrior armed with a powerful arsenal of weapons. Fight corrupted knights, deformed ogres and an army of twisted creatures across four dark dimensions of infested military bases, ancient medieval castles, lava-filled dungeons and gothic cathedrals in search of the four magic runes. Only after you have collected the runes will you hold the power to defeat the ancient evil that threatens all of humanity.
Quake also comes with both original expansion packs: “The Scourge of Armagon” and “Dissolution of Eternity,” as well as three expansions developed by the award-winning team at MachineGames: “Dimension of the Past,” “Dimension of the Machine,” and the all-new “Dawn of the Machine.”
Ranger is trapped in a dimension of endless illusion—reliving the same violent cycles for what feels like lifetimes, dying thousands of times in a futile attempt to escape. Wearied but unbroken, he has heard rumor of The Nightmare Machine.
Beyond the hordes of monsters—twisted by an eternity in the Elder realms—lies the Machine. It is believed its destruction will shatter the illusion, finally breaking the loop.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

quicksave: the game
I just love it
spawns give me heart palpitations as someone who grew up playing quake live, it was great to play through the original game, especially since the soundtrack was made by one of my favourite artists (nin). since i decided to get 100% achievements, i played through all of the expansions which i would have otherwise been too lazy to do, but im glad i did. dimension of the machine was a really nice change of pace and scenery, probably one of the most enjoyable ones to play through. nightmare mode was also a fun challenge. i definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys old school shooters and whatnot, i think the quake series is kinda underrated.
it's the big daddy - still holds up today
The most recent free update with the Dawn of the Machine Expansion seems like a good moment to write short review of Quake and the expansions created by machine games. The original Quake in its remastered form was a great nostalgia trip. To me Quake made a bigger impression with it's atmosphere and gameplay than even Doom did. It is as they often say: the remaster looks how I remember the game, not how it actually looked. The expensions Dimension of the Past and Dimension of the Machine show what is possible with the Engine without the hardware limits of the time. It is already some time ago that I played them. I do remember one of them fealth a bit less like Quake with an over abundance of liniarity and waves of enemies to defeat before being able to continue. The design of the maps still looked great. Then for the most recent adition, Dawn of the Machine. The levels again look phenominal (with all the limitations of the Quake engine) and really feel like Quake maps when playing. All in all, the remastered game and the expensions are definetly worth playing and the most recent update just adds another great reseaon to return to Quake if you have already played it before.
game good
Dawn of the Machine – Quake's least necessary trip down Memory Lane Dawn of the Machine starts out promisingly enough: it looks like Quake, sounds like Quake and shoots like Quake. The graphics and level designs are fantastic. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way the designers apparently decided that what this game desperately needed was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Metroidvania backtracking simulator. You play through a level, encounter a locked door, and naturally assume you'll come back later. Fine. Then you get the required rune and discover that you're supposed to trudge back through old levels to open ♥♥♥♥ you couldn't open before. So instead of giving me new levels to play, the game hands me the exciting privilege of replaying yesterday's leftovers because now I have the magic key to the cupboard. This is especially irritating because Quake's strength has always been its wonderfully straightforward structure: enter a level, blast everything in sight, find the keys, get the ♥♥♥♥ out. Dawn of the Machine takes that elegant formula and apparently asks, "But what if we made the player keep a mental spreadsheet of every door they couldn't open?" The actual shooting is still Quake, so thankfully the fundamental gameplay is good. But the campaign structure is needlessly convoluted, and the backtracking feels less like clever level design and more like padding designed to make the campaign look bigger than it actually is. I was looking forward to new Quake levels, not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ treasure hunt through the old ones. If this is what modern level design thinks "depth" means, I'll happily go back to 1996. Not recommended. ♥♥♥♥ you.
