Classic game. The aesthetic blends elements of Lovecraft with Sci-Fi creating a look that's never been replicated since. It plays great on modern hardware too. So give it a try!
Classic boomer-shooter dripping with a blood-soaked atmosphere. The gloomy castles and corridors of Quake remain a unique treat, engaging to explore even all these years later and with all the games id Software's classic titles left a mark on. I have been jump-scared by Quake single-player levels an embarrassing amount of times. The original Nine Inch Nails' soundtrack is incredible, and the Nightdive port provides welcome QOL features and graphical enhancements. The MachineGames expansions are great modern additions to the original campaigns. The mods available to download from the menu are great as well (at least the ones I have played through proper) I haven't played much deathmatch because it sucks to play against veterans with 30 years of Quake DM experience LOL - so stop being a square and just do the Shambler Shuffle already, Ranger.
Significantly better graphical improvements over DOOM. I think this may catch on!
It really isn't that good. No modern improvements can fix a bad game.
shotgun go boom
la misma experiencia de jugar los Doom originales, solo que con mas fisicas, aunque hay muchos enemigos esponjas de bala en el modo dificil.
Quake 2 is in my top 5 FPS of all time, but I have somehow dodged playing Quake 1 for 30 years. Now that I have finally gotten around to playing it, I can only ask myself, why have I waited so long to play Quake? This game is amazing. While I still prefer Quake 2, and I did not realize how many sound effects are carried over from the original, this game still holds its own with ease. Another must play 1990s FPS.
