I love this game, the campaign and its story, the characters, the music which is ever so fitting each moment and each character, and of course the graphics that are magical. I love the gameplay, I've been playing multiplayer and my only regret is that Supergiant did not include a true multiplayer mode with at least p2p connection; instead we have to manage with Steam Remote Play or similar tools, and while it's incredibly fun, it's still a downgrade for many reasons. That an indie game for you. No, unlike say Hades they did not follow the previously successful formula, they expiremented, they tried, they explored. Might be not everyone's cup of tea, but one must admit - it is made nicely, it is beautiful, the story is good (again, better that Hades 2 IMHO)

Truly their worst game: self serving, long stretches were you can't play, confusing gameplay and overall everything a Supergiant Games shouldn't be. It's more than fine to avoid this one, no matter how big of a fan you might be of the developer.
Masterpiece of a game, wish it was more philosophical in it's ending tho
Pyre is a hidden gem among all of the Supergiant games, as it will take you on a remarkable story adventure while making difficult decisions and playing "Rites" games against enemy teams. It's a very clever concept and quite fun as well. You will meet memorable characters along the way and learn more about them. I wish I played this game much sooner in my library backlog as it has outstanding sound, music and art. This game is wonderful and a hidden gem from Supergiant games.
Another absolute banger from Supergiant Games, they get better and better with each release. The story is emotionally compelling and delivered in the style of an interactive visual novel. The music and artwork is AMAZING as always, and the world lore is as rich and deep as the characters. The gameplay between story segments revolves around rituals, 3x3 matches with a ball and scoring goals worth points to put out the other team's pyre. You can make it more difficult for more XP and a bigger challenge, or breeze through for the story. I really enjoyed the matches, even when I lost it was fun and satisfying to play. I so appreciate being able to see this studio explore mechanics and gameplay elements from one game to the next. From Bastion to Transistor to Pyre to Hades, you can see things evolve and become more refined through each successive title. All of them were a treat to play, and hold great replay value by design, in a way that feels rewarding. Seriously I cannot say enough good things.
Просто имба, не люблю спортивные симуляторы но это прям зашло, вникся персонажами, приятно слушать их и иногда грустно разлучаться, а концовка вишенка на торте
There's a very good reason why Supergiant Games are regarded as an Indie Giant. In the last decade, they have proven again and again that they can do any genre and knock it out of the park. Sadly, Pyre did not make it into the mainstream like Bastion or Hades did. I can only imagine how much love and care was sunk into this game. Every frame is a painting, from the over-world map to the arenas and to the characters themselves, this game is just so beautiful to look at, and the music, oh the music. I swear I a have feeling that Pyre came from a song, Darren Korb the man behind Supergiant's soundtracks is a mystical bard who got lost in time and the music he composed is a reflection of his journey. With vocalist Ashley Barrett, these two have created some of the most wonderful soundtracks in all of gaming. Pyre is just brimming with incredible talent, with Logan Cunningham as the Voice weaving it all together. The lore of this game is quite dense and very original, I hope Supergiant keeps creating games with their unique and original ideas after Hades 2. Maybe down the line, we get to return to the Downside or even Commonwealth. It is hard to describe this game to someone who's never played it, but the man himself described it as: "Choose-your-own-Adventure crossed with a strange, RPG-laced, mystical sports game battle system. Pyre is the most original thing Supergiant has made and the least recognisable. Yes, that's a good thing" - TotalBiscuit
This well-writtena and admirable visual novel comes with a creative sports game. 10/10 Absolute recommendation
