Started playing all their games in order. Previous 2, brilliant. This one, in respect to the other work they have done, I'd just not call it garbage. It does not do much in the way of helping you out in figuring out what essentially is a sports game. Throws you in there in hope that you figure it out. Yeah you'll eventually figure it out. But that is hardly a refined experience. It is supposed to be story-rich. Well, If I am going to read the story, there are pages upon pages of fiction at my disposal. The valuable bits of audio are wasted on characters saying utter nonsense in an alien language, or the sport narrator telling you what you are already seeing. Then you have to read and read and read to get a bit of actual story in between so much scene-setting fluff that should have been done by art, not text. Sorry. Not for me. On to Hades...
Чудесная история о путешествии, верности, просветлении и искуплении. Душевненько, только перевод во второй части игры начинает чуть страдать косметически. Музыка и арт поразительные, Даррен Корб гений

It's been a few years since i last played it, but like the other games from this dev team it has great writing and a very nice art style, i also really enjoed the "sports" part of it
While not their best work, pyre is still full of what makes Supergiant games a good time. Visual novel and sports game hybrid jammed with the usual flairs. Beautifull art direction and soundtrack by Darren korb carried my experience to the finish. Best part is definitely the gameplay and story premise. The mystery of the place and the characters that this game builds is very good. That combined with basketball-esque gameplay that is surprisingly great, with similarly fast paced moment, difficulty modifiers and characters to the Hades games. It shines through as the main break between story beats. However, when it comes to recommending the game it's a bit harder. While 10-13h isn't that much, the story and gameplay variety definetly outstay their welcome. The first 5-6 hours are the best parts, but with little surprises or percievable changes it can be a slog. The game definitely has some variety, but not for the whole duration The game is an enjoyable 7/10 but it very much shines as a package that can get grading near the end.
It is a fun rpg I will definitely be doing a full playthrough in the future. The imps in the wagon are so cute.
A pseudo-visual novel mixed with the most intense, narratively deciding 3v3 prison basketball.
This is my second time finishing this, as it was included in itch.io's Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality. This might have the weakest gameplay among Supergiant Games's games, but personally, it has the best cast of characters, visuals (character and background design), story, and lore. Imagine if they voice-acted everything... Literally underrated and overlooked.
The premise of the game being centered around high-stakes pseudo-football was strange at first, but I grew to enjoy it and the pressure of not losing since it affects the story. It possesses a great narrative, like the popular Hades series. Give it a go if you like those kinds of things Also it's completely compatible with Steam Deck, no text is too small to read
Fun little sport like game with a good story.
I wont experience something like pyre again. One of a kind. The gameplay can be a little clunky and its basically a visual novel, but the story, art direction and music are superb. Its short and sweet, so you will probably finish it in a week. It is not mandatory, but i decided to play it on "heightened" (hard) mode and "ironman mode" where i forbid myself to restart a losing match. It was one of the best experiences for me in gaming. And please stay until the credits roll, such a delight.
Revolutionary fantasy basketball. Does it get any better?
