Забавная игрулина. Пройдена за первого героя с бронькой на +3 и войсками. Без заклинаний и прочей чепухи. Финальный сет - золотой дракон, топорщик, орк и баллиста - на изи.
I had a good amount of fun with Puzzle Quest, and I enjoyed Puzzle Quest Galactrix. But good lord, this one lacks a lot of the polish and the RNG seems even worse than Galactrix. The art and the story aren't very good either.
+ Its a nice game to kill time, but not more. + Very nice soundtrack and foleys +- Story is more or less just a filler with no real suspense or suprise, - All kingdoms are more or less repetitive and the same. - Unlocks and heroes vary a bit but it does not matter much. - No achievements at all I grinded though all of the kingdoms and locations, and my verdict ist just : NO. (very dissapointing but i just had to finish it even though the grind aspect repetitive is nice and has its flair (if its your cup of tea) Dont buy.. its an unfinished game and you cant unlock a last hero and several items Theres no mention anywhere about 18 heros to unlock but the 18th slot has a question mark. You dont get melkor in the end and its missing 4 artefacts and 4 minions that havent been unlocked too i searched FAQs and guides outside steam, because the guides in here just are plane useless. theres no mention about a hidden kingdom or how to unlock 18 heroes. Theres one good Walkthrough online explaining mechanics and the a meta to get the best build to play efficiently, but it lists only 15 heroes and i unlocked 17 with one missing. so ....unrewarding and frustrating Game bug or unfinished mess.. really frustrating. Not comparable to the great puzzle quest and its nice flair. Puzzle Quest was far superior to this one. I cant recommend a game where you realize after beating the boss and playing every location that theres stuff missing or left out or just bugged (after beating the game i had to restart the game because the sounds from the end credits didnt go away) If you want to kill some time and like easy repetitive and bit grindy games its ok, if you want to play an engaging story and are a completionist BEWARE...stay away
Puzzles feel like mischievous jokes, each level a laugh riot, graphics pop like comic strips, I'm thrilled and can't stop playing!
Fun game
This game is fun. There's options for focusing your heroes on spells, items, artifacts, and troops, with a variety of strategies possible. My favorite strategy is bringing a wide variety of troop colors so most of the matches I can make gain energy, with items that increase defense and energy gain for survivability and faster attacking. The story isn't spectacular, but it's reasonably fun. A couple minigames break up the fights, but I recommend searching for items before units, because the Shrine minigame and Item minigame are very similar. My biggest complaint is that there's the usual Puzzle X game unfairness, where sometimes enemies will get ridiculously good turns off of a random move. So you'll be left waiting to play and waiting to do something beyond watching your units die.
Match-3 games by themselves always have an element of randomness, but even then it feels overtuned for this title. You can go for many rounds without matching a single set that you need and you need 2-3 matches of that color to attack in the first place. Not that it really matters since the AI hardly, if ever, attacks you. Combined with the bland story and this boils down to being a slog.
Puzzle kingdoms is a solid concept that ends up becoming a little too bloated for it's own good. Ostensibly an interesting combination of a strategy game and a puzzle game, Puzzle Kingdoms offers an interesting and engaging blend of match-3 and tactics - but this isn't without problems. Without a solid strategy, fights can often feel overwhelming or far too overtuned - but with a solid grasp of the fundaments, battles are almost always laughably easy. There's a lot of grinding that the game expects you to do, for an assortment of troops, relics, spells and heroes - but you're extremely limited by the points system in terms of what you can bring at any one time - making most of that grinding ultimately pointless, unless you know exactly what you're looking for. While the randomness of match-3 doesn't always clash against the concept of tactical planning and strategising, it's clear that the turn-based approach offered by Puzzle Kingdoms clashes with it. Setup is essentially impossible, as the AI will happily foil any attempt to do so, often leading to quick 3-cost matches being the only real consistent path forward. The minigames (or rather, alternate ways of playing the match-3 game) are also entirely devoid of the combat and strategy aspect, just being "do this in X amount of time, or X amount of moves", which can often feel more like filler than engaging gameplay. In addition to this, the only real opposition that the player will run into is bad luck - as the AI will not move, or attack you, leading to "battles" often feeling like a one-sided slog. This isn't to say that Puzzle Kingdoms is a bad game per se, just that for the amount of time I felt was required to finish it, i ended up being very bored by the end. Puzzle Kingdoms is serviceable. It's an interesting idea, to combine strategy and puzzles, it's just not amazingly implemented in this game. Not a terrible experience, but not something i'd say was worth going out of your way to buy.
- The strategy never evolves - Touch of RNG and bad AI and it self balances but is not fun - Story seems decent but not worth the slog
