There's a surprisingly decent game in there if you can get past the horrible sound quality and the often messed-up animations. Don't get me wrong, the game is lazy and cynical in many ways. But it is actually fun, and Putt-Putt's new voice actor did a good job once you forget how different it is bad the mixing is. Making it unplayable without an optical drive or a virtual disk drive is pretty unforgivable, though.

yes
They changed Putt Putt's voice actor, didn't try to hide it, REMOVED THE SKIP BUTTON. I bought a disc drive to run this stupid pathetic excuse for a putt putt game. I questioned my life choices after playing this. Gave me existential dread. Also they killed Rover's VA too. MAJOR PEEN!!!
i cant play it
Pep's Birthday Surprise is an absolute SLOG of a game. It lacks the energy and charm of the other games, the voices are WAY off key, and it forces you to watch all these little animations that you can't skip. You know what else you can't skip? The intro cutscene and credits. Every time you load the game you have to watch it, and it feels longer each time. I force closed the game after beating it since you can't just quit out from the credits like the rest of the games. the only, the ONLY nice thing I have to say about this game is that it makes nods and references to the other Putt Putt games. That aside, I have not one single positive adjective to describe this game with. Do not play this game, it was clearly made at gunpoint. Edit: You actually can skip the intro and animations. But whereas other games used the ESC key, this game uses the Enter key for that. Even with that, I still can't recommend this game.
This game is messing up my computer. and it doesnt even work and i paid 6 dollars for it
Not great, compared to other Putt-Putt games this is a slow, boring game that has corners cut everywhere. The voice actors (no offense) feel like they half tried. Putt-Putt himself sounds more like a teem then a kid! Just save yourself the time and get Saves The Zoo or Travels Through Time instead, you'd have way more fun playing those.
{Drunk Series Series} Putt-Put: Pep's Birthday Surprise is all about giving Putt-Putt's dog a birthday party cause it's depressed that it has no birth date. So I played this right after Joins the Circus, and was still completely smashed, dead drunk off my butt and had a time finishing this game. I ended up doing a couple of puzzles twice. The game did show off characters from the other games as throwbacks as this is the last game in the series. And also a cute way to end the series as you find Pep in the first game and give him a b-day party in the last game. I'm not gonna lie, I don't remember much other than the overall plot seeing as I was arguably the most drunk I've been while making this content (50.5% ALC by Vol with my portioning level for drinks kind of kicked my butt). I beat it so i guess that counts for something. |Drunk Video| -Posts 6/24/23 https://youtu.be/wZwmcW7W82w
Not good. Couldn't even finish it. Story is dull and unimaginative. Graphics and sound feel sloppy and inconsistent. There's less game play and more cut-scenes. Play Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo or Travels through Time. You'll be much happier.
