About
Putt Down is a first person mini-golf horror. The game takes place in the same universe as Gone Golfing, but instead of a putter you have a shotgun and it will be your go to problem solver. It can be used as putter or as a regular firearm. You will need to score points and collect coins to be able buy ammo and supplies to keep you safe.
You play as John Walker, a highly neurotic man with a nicotine addiction and a history of terrible life choices. After racking up a massive amount of gambling debt, the people you owe are finally coming to collect. Just as you're about to skip town, you're kidnapped by a mysterious stranger who makes you a bizarre offer, one you simply can't refuse. Now you are stuck in a mini-golf nightmare and the only way to clear your debt is to finish the game.
Gameplay consist of trying to survive while playing mini-golf with a shotgun. You will have to manage limited ammo and supplies. Stress is a big part of the game and if your stress level is to high bad things will start to happen. All golf courses are randomized and with over 50 different courses you will have to learn to become a master shotgun golfer.
When you are finished with the main game try your luck against 5 other players. In multiplayer you will be pitted against other players and the player who finishes first with the least amount of golf strokes wins. But be careful because there are dangers lurking everywhere in this PvP mode, some of them are not even human.

Gone golfing sequel, yeah.
The atmosphere is actually interesting, but the gameplay feels barely tested. The ball randomly despawns even while still being on the field, some parkour sections feel unfair instead of challenging, and losing progress because of bugs completely kills the tension. A horror game should create stress through gameplay, not through broken mechanics.
bought this game for the multiplayer and its so half assed that IDK why they bothered adding it as is. Most of what is in the trailers is simply not in the multiplayer. there's only 2 maps so you'll play through all the content in less then an hour.
It's a decent game. I don't really think the shotgun twist is really used that much, I don't understand why I'd use it over just putting like normal. Stress levels seem like a bit of a random addition as well. I think this is mostly just a golfing game, but with some added tension which is pretty cool! I would sometimes be randomly attacked by a guy when entering a level, and I would have no bullets and die instantly, meaning I had to start over. It was frustrating at times for sure, especially when I didn't have enough to save. But it's a solid game, just not really for me I think. If you like high stakes golf, I'd recommend giving it a shot.
we need more content and maybe a mod menu u can obtain for beating the game only usable in servers you create tho
a good sequel to Gone Golfing, the gimmicks are pretty fun

mid, tedious gaemplay, but cool concept
Overall I enjoyed this game, I liked the horror mechanics blended into a mini golf game. I do wish there was a way to know how far into the story you are since the game doesn't label what floor you are on. The gameplay was interesting enough to keep me entertained. Overall if you like golf and horror this is fairly solid Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxMVmbJjIww
I will have this review positive because 99% of this game is pretty damn near perfect and I would feel evil for leaving something negative, but there is either a bug or a feature that hasn't really been explained where sometimes my shotgun just instantly kills me when I hit the ball. It's very frustrating. EDIT: My bad, intended mechanic. When your stress is over 50% you have a chance to just shoot yourself.
