A game about a very happy guy and his boulder. (Warning: As an accurate representation of the ancient Myth of Sisyphus, this is likely the most difficult and punishing game you will ever play.)

About
A game about a very happy guy and his boulder.
Pushing It! With Sisyphus is a difficult and punishing game about pushing a boulder up a hill.
You push the boulder by walking/running into it, and try to reach the top. Be careful though, as tons of obstacles, surprises, and happiness awaits you ahead.
The higher you get up the hill the buffer you get. Start out comically skinny, and come out as a muscular, hulking monster. Try not to fall, as a single slip is all it takes to be back at the beginning.
Roll a boulder up a hill.
Get buffer the higher you climb.
Punishing and difficult but not impossible gameplay.
Lose all your progress at a single slip, and have no one to blame but yourself.
Experience levels of frustration not previously thought possible.
A metaphor for life, but unlike life, death is not an escape.
Attain happiness.
There is an end. You just probably won't make it.

Was having a reasonable amount of fun but my character keeps having minor glitches and letting go mid push its not my hardware physics seem mildly glitchy too and a bit overly sensitive on the controls if you can get past that this would likely be the game for you. But as it stands getting over it and the game of sishyphus are a decent amount more polished while still making you want to atomize your controller. And which game was in development first isn't really relative to the quality of the product.
great overall although sometimes hitboxes or collisions kind of glitch out. The game is still difficult but remains fair, no hidden mechanics to catch you out. tip: I find it easier to roll the boulder a little without using the "stronger push" option at first, see where it tends to roll on the ground then take it from there, rushing will get you nowhere
i gave it a try regardless of what other people said. shoulda believed them. controls are disgusting, absolute garbage, i had trouble just getting the boulder to start rolling up the hill because no matter how i pushed it, it didnt work. this game is trying to be like "getting over it" so hard, with the music choice and narration in the background
Its like you are playing Dark Souls 3
There's no feeling more intense than starting over. To live is to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering. Getting Over It is painfully easy after 110+ Wins I wanted to experience it again for the first time and this game is giving me that experience Frustrating. I love it except I don't when the boulder falls down about 90 meters and my guy falls down too and I can only watch it slowly roll off another edge to fall down about another 200 meters and I have no control to get back up :D
Fuyez. Fuyez tant que vous le pouvez.
Bro so not only is the tutorial hard but I'm getting roasted for being bad I would recommend playing this
For those looking for the one that Northernlion played, this is not it.
I may have went insane while playing this but it was fun.
There's no feeling more intense than getting a boulder to the peak of a mountain.
