I've played this game for about an hour and it seems to a well-made game, but I was hoping for a bit more. My suggestions of some enhancments. - Allow punching the numbers before the voice completes the sequence. Sometimes I just want to start punching without standing and waiting for the sequence to finish. I can still listen as I'm punching. - Along with that, maybe a mode without memorization. You just punch the lights as fast as they light up and its gets faster and faster. It would be a very good workout. - Finally, I seem to accidentaly touch pads as I'm lowering my hands and it registers as a punch and I fail the sequence. Maybe have the pads only register with a bit of punch force instead of just a touch. Either that or I just have to be more careful! :) All in all, for the price it's good. I'm still giving it thumbs up.
Good Game ! Gameplay - Good Graphics - Good System Performance - Good Great -> Good -> OK -> Bad -> Do not buy !
it seems conceptually good, but with the occulus rift touch, the gloves are so off what my fists are it's hard to judge my distance. Seems to be specifically designed for the Vive.
Dont usually write reviews for games i dont play for more than 2 hours. But this game has given me the value back for the five bucks it cost me. Great workout not only for the body but also for the brain. I do kickboxing and MMA irl, this actually gave me a workout that i didnt thought it would. This is a good complement to Thrill of the Fight, which lacks a padwork module. my suggestion is to place the swinging arm a little higher as its harder to do a proper slip with the headset on and also the ability to speed up the swinging arm. Good job! Definitely recommend this game.
Top 5 Reasons to buy a VR Headset: #1 - BeatSaber #2 - Ragnarock #3 - Pavlov #4 - Half-Life: Alyx #5 - It's a perfect excuse to game and work out at the same time. Top 3 ways to workout in VR: #1 - Punch Pad Workout #2 - Beatsaber/Ragnarock #3 - Actual Fitness apps (but the good ones are sub only) My only complaint really. And this is 100% just me being honest with first impressions, is the punching bag. The point of punching bags is to have weight in them to stop your hits and you slowly build up punching power (to my knowledge im no boxer/kickboxer/mma practitioner.) So i would change the punching bag to a speedbag. they are not super heavy in real life so it wont feel....fake?..idk if that is the right word....it feels like my hand is going through the bag because the bag doesnt exist and my brain is telling my arm to stop when i know i can just follow through with the punch cuz there would be 0 resistance. All in all. 9/10 I would not have complained a bit if i bought this at a slightly higher price point. It does what it sets out to do. Teach basic combos and dodges all while giving a great workout (paid full price)
I'll admit I had fairly low expectations when I purchased this game, because I felt like it was just going to be another half-a$$ attempt to throw together something simple and make some cash. However, I was pleasently surprised! The sound andphysics really make you feel like you're hitting the pads. It was a really fun work-out. The dev is definitely off to a good start. I can see how this may get a little repetative after a while, but at the same time the dev seems very involved and active in the development of the game, and open to suggestions. I can see this game growing as he (or she) adds different environments and/or game modes. Multiplayer would be fun as well, as two players take turns to see who can hit the longest streak. So, dev, keep up the good work. I can't wait to see where this game goes.
Some nice updates has made this a pretty solid fitness game. I really like the punch pad mode with the trainer.
Not well designed or thought out. In some modes it goes too fast, in others too slow. Also forces you to pretty much sprawl instead of duck because it cant properly understand your height. More frustration than workout.
Unfortunately it did not work very well with a WMR. When you hit a number only, the game understands as if two numbers have been hit. and this disrupts much the sequence of the game.
