It's a solid 40 minute space-themed electronic music video with some interactions. If you're a space nerd who enjoys artsy, experimental experiences, this would be right up your alley. However, this is niche. It's not for everyone. It doesn't really have any gameplay. It's a mostly chill experience where you sit back, relax, and enjoy the audio-visual space-themed experience. App is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a steady 90 fps. No issues of any kind or bugs. However, you only have snap turning. There is no locomotion. You can play seated. Stuff happens 360 around you so you either snap turn or play standing and turn around IRL. There are no graphical options either. It's fine for what it is. I would recommend picking it up on sale if this sounds interesting to you due to its short length. If you like space, relaxing techno beats, exploding asteroids with your fists, or want to see something you'd never see in your day-to-day, this is an absolute must. Pulsar reinvigorated my love of Virtual Reality. Seriously. With so much content out there now it can be hard to validate one experience over another, and even worse a lot of content is repeat copies. Not Pulsar. This experience is truly one of a kind and on a level of its own. The stars are already a magical topic, but to be placed among the stars and see their story played out through a combo of cinematic elements and orchestral quality instrumentals, was unforgettable. The drudge of every day sameness in adult life can become a really heavy thing, but this experience will remind you that the universe is full of wonders. As a child, I never thought in a million light years that I'd be able to experience something so mind blowing as this creation.

Pulsar is an exceptional VR experience made by an exceptional team of developers! From the unique music-driven sequences to narrative agency, Pulsar is one of those VR experiences that broadens your thinking of what VR is. I truly felt small and humbled when placed against massive planets and the expanse of the stars. The music is a special treat and adds wonders to the observation-based narrative style. This is a great art piece, and I encourage anyone who is interested in experiencing the wonders of space to give it a try!

This was a really neat experience. They call it an art piece and I understand why. It takes place in a space like universe(s) and there are three playful, minimally interactive set pieces with electric music and sounds. There is not a lot of interaction but more of an experience that you observe. It's fun and while not too educational as there is no dialog it does have a short bonus area that discusses some space science. It has three art pieces that are around 10-15 minutes long each. I enjoyed it a lot and had fun.
