As an enjoyer of bullet hells gave this game a go.. now other people are the bosses. seems simple at first but there are techniques to learn and master. can be played kb+m but not recommended, because its terrible.. get a controller for best experience
game is super hype, if you're into fighting games and bullet hell games give it a try and you will not be disappointed gamepad is recommended by the game but unofficial keyboard+mouse support is good, don't listen to the review saying it's terrible, it's what I use it's a discord fighter so hop on the discord and ping the matchmaking channel if you're looking for games, the dev is there too and super responsive and receptive to feedback on improvements/balancing
I've played a whole lot of fighting games in my life and this one is up there with the very best of them. Don't be fooled by the fact that's it's an indie game or that it involves spaceships rather than karate guys, this is a hardcore fighting game. Buy it and play it with a human and you will want for nothing ever again.
Great game for friends to challenge each other to duels however if you play the practice modes with Edith do no spawn in several hundred drones as the game cannot handle that and will lag so bad you enemies can't spawn in. Got to nearly 500 high score though. 10/10 would recommend for friends
I got this game to play with some friends, and while we ran into some stuff with the menus and connectivity, it wasn't enough to ruin the experience. The gameplay and effects were great and felt pretty good to both see and hear. I can appreciate the cohesive art style and appreciated the effort put into the uniqueness of the ships and characters, along with the text for their backstories and stages, and would really like something more to flesh out the characters or get to engage with their backstories some more. While I didn't have a controller, the preselected inputs were serviceable, but I would have liked to rebind them if I could have figured out how. I think the game is quite worth it at the sale price, and I am excited to follow up with this game on possible future updates, but as of now it's a decent product and has a lot of potential.
I got acquainted with Pulsar Crash at LVLUPEXPO earlier and played with a friend of mine at their booth. I really enjoyed the game there and I'm excited that it finally hit Steam. It's a great game to play locally with some friends - similar to Towerfall. Not much in the way of single player, so make sure to have some friends to play it with.
Amazing game with a different vibe, spendy but i think its worth a try
Fun game to play with friends, the game play is exciting and creates good moments, there seems to be a lot of depth if you want to get really into it.
The gameplay is fun, the art is cool, and the mechanics are engaging. However the online play and menus are a little fuzzy. First lobby worked fine. Subsequent lobbies we couldn't get the match started at all either because the game crashed or pressing the start button would not do anything. I also had some weird window behaviour when starting the game, it might be because I am using hyprland though. The game window starts in full-screen mode but slightly offset to the upper left corner. Moving the game to a new empty workspace and toggling full-screen off and on fixed the issue. Aside from the weird crashes / online lobby not working, I found some choices to be strange. For example, why does one player in the online lobby choosing the main menu option at the end of a match disbands the entire lobby? In any case, the game itself is fun, when it works. The menus and online play just needs some polishing. It makes everyone playing get competitive. Maybe a online ranked matches could be fun?
Fun game, I like the look and feel of the characters and I thought the tutorial was well made and helpful. The online play is pretty finicky though and the game is prone to crashing, but I look forward to playing more of the game with my friends once that's fixed. I also wish there was a menu option to change the volume in game. Lots of potential though, fun mechanics, enough variety in gameplay and visuals to keep things fresh and fun. Would recommend!
