INSTALLING NOTHING
I'm not really sure if Puzzle Car is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. It doesn't help that the developer has demonstrably tried to claim credit for the work of others in the past. There's no evidence in this case, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. Rising Moon Games have a known history of trying to scam people into paying them money for someone else's work, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. One example of Rising Moon Games doing this is HEN, CHICKS AND CATS, which is really the "Cube World" asset, written by the actual developers, Polysquid. What we have here is typical for the Rising Moon Games, you are presented with what looks like a stock Asset Store tileset and you need to rearrange the tiles so that the road/train track/whetever forms a complete circuit. That's all there is to it. Free mobile/Flash game stuff, but for some reason this is here on Steam with a great big price tag on it. Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics, with the isometric/pixel town asset set that's in use. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the lacklustre 2D visuals. The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here. This is indistinguishable from a mobile app, but they put this on Steam instead of the app stores by mistake. Was it rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all)?. Regardless, for all intents and purposes Puzzle Car might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Puzzle Car is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Profile Features Limited! Valve have marked this game as "Profile Features Limited" at the time of this review. This is usually caused by poor sales figures and low community acceptance for the game (to date). Until this status changes, this game will not give you +1 to your Game Collector badge count, appear in profile achievements or any other Steam meta-accomplishments, nor can it be displayed in some profile showcases. If these factors are important to you, it may be worth holding off before buying this game.
Puzzlecar is a minimalist grid-based puzzle game developed and published by Rising Moon Games that centers on spatial logic, calm progression, and thoughtful path construction. At first glance, it presents a simple objective: build a safe and continuous route for a small car to travel across the board while collecting all required items. Beneath that straightforward premise, however, lies a carefully structured series of challenges that gradually increase in complexity, encouraging players to think methodically and plan several steps ahead. The gameplay revolves around arranging track pieces on a grid. Each level provides a set of path segments—such as straight lines, corners, intersections, and occasionally special connectors—that must be placed in the correct orientation to form a complete circuit. The car will follow whatever route you create, so every misplaced segment can result in an incomplete path or missed collectible. Success requires not only linking the start and end points but also ensuring that every item scattered across the board is incorporated into the final route. This adds an extra layer of planning, as the most direct solution is often not the correct one. As the stages progress, the puzzles introduce tighter layouts and more intricate spatial constraints. Early levels ease players into the mechanics, allowing room for experimentation and mistakes. Later stages demand careful visualization, with limited placement options that require thinking about how each segment affects the overall structure. While the difficulty curve is noticeable, it remains fair and consistent. The game does not rely on artificial obstacles or hidden rules; instead, each solution is logically deducible through observation and reasoning. Visually, Puzzlecar embraces simplicity. The clean, uncluttered interface ensures that attention remains focused on the puzzle grid itself. Bright but restrained colors differentiate track pieces and objectives without overwhelming the screen. The minimalist presentation supports the game’s calm pacing, creating a relaxed atmosphere that encourages concentration rather than urgency. Animations are subtle but effective, particularly when the car successfully navigates a completed path, reinforcing a sense of accomplishment. Sound design plays a quiet yet meaningful role in the overall experience. Soft background music provides a tranquil backdrop without distracting from problem-solving. Small audio cues accompany the placement of pieces and the successful completion of levels, offering satisfying feedback that enhances immersion. The absence of loud effects or time-based pressure contributes to the meditative quality of the game, making it suitable for extended sessions or brief moments of focused relaxation. One of Puzzlecar’s strengths lies in its accessibility. The mechanics are intuitive and easy to grasp, requiring no prior experience with similar puzzle games. Controls are straightforward, and the rules remain consistent throughout. There are no complicated scoring systems or competitive elements—progression is driven purely by solving each puzzle. This makes it appealing to players who enjoy cerebral challenges without the stress of timers or penalties. In terms of scope, Puzzlecar offers a contained but complete experience. Its level count provides several hours of thoughtful engagement, and completionists can aim to perfect each stage. While it does not include expansive modes or multiplayer features, the core concept remains strong enough to sustain interest through its carefully designed puzzles. The focus is clearly on quality over quantity, delivering a consistent and polished puzzle framework. Ultimately, Puzzlecar stands out as a well-crafted logic game that prioritizes clarity, calm pacing, and satisfying problem-solving. It does not attempt to innovate through flashy mechanics or elaborate storytelling; instead, it refines a simple idea into a cohesive and enjoyable experience. For players who appreciate structured spatial puzzles and a serene atmosphere, it offers a rewarding and mentally engaging journey built around thoughtful design and minimalist charm. Rating: 8/10
Muito divertido, bom para passar algumas horas
jogoo mt foda, quando pega a noção de que precisa fazer um espelho fica mt mais fácil. só too puto pq uma conquista não contabilizou, sendo que eu fiz absolutamente tudo
most of the levels were pretty easy.
This is the game for you to grab a lofi playlist, finding a relaxing streamer or your favorite podcast and just sit back while scratching your head to solve these small but straight forward puzzles. As expected in these games, puzzles start easy and simple but as you advance some will become tricky, specially those with tunnels since they can make the car go to a direction you do not want it (an arrow above each tunnel will show you where the car will go, don't worry). There are a couple of later levels where it felt it was too much regarding these tunels and it would have been nice if there was more variety in the scenarios aside from cities. Day and night cycles, rain or fog could have made the maps feel more different even it they were always on big cities. Achievement wise just go ahead and finish all the 50 levels while collecting everything on the map for the 100%. If, for some reason the last one does not unlock simply press Shift and "H" on the main menu and that will solve it. I'm also unsure why the game has a "Profile Features Limited" on the steam page but that should not stop you from enjoying this simple puzzle game. For the asking price, even if it's not on sale it's a great find to sink a couple of hours. Get it to change things up a bit from fast paced games!
