Pudding Frog

Yeah so basically this game is analogous to the current state of the capitalist hellhole we currently participate in. Climb, climb, climb, fall, fall, fall. All in a desperate attempt to bring home the pudding so that your wife won't leave you for that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ heron. It's like getting your teeth pulled out at the DMV, I love it so much.

The grappling feels satisfying, and the gameplay is a good mix of puzzles vs skill. The crushing difficulty reminds me of other rage games but the difficulty comes from high execution requirements rather than jank controls. Can't wait to get all the achievements, but given that it took me an hour to get through the first section the speedrun ones are going to be TOUGH

When you get moving you really get schmooving 10/10

These mushrooms can suck my disproportionately lopsided balls... recommend, when you start schmoovin, you schmoov... except on the mushrooms. Edit: After 40 hours and multiple speedrun attempts, can confirm this game not only has incredible speedrunning potential, but the mushrooms can indeed still suck my balls.

Very simple controls/mechanics with a lot of room for skill expression. I'm not saying it's easy, because it definitely is NOT but pretty quick to comprehend. After playing for a bit I see tons of potential for some interesting skips. A speed runners dream.

wanted to finish the game before giving this game a proper review. pudding frog is the most harrowing journey i've been through in gaming, and i play videogames competitively, it'll teach you to love, to hate, to laugh, and cry, life lessons you wouldn't learn otherwise, but once you finish the game, you are a changed person, you go in a boy, and exit a man, an unshakable force of a man. yea game's awesome 9/10 -1 point for the sanity i lost during the first mountain section before i figured it out

The world needs more games like Pudding Frog. I'm coming for that WR, Tapion. Also, I want to port this game to N64. Let me know if that's something we can work on. 🧐

Reminds us how cruel the cycle of life is. Took me 60 minutes to get past the first jump and 6 seconds to fall.
