Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin

SUPRISINGLY GREAT! I was expecting more of coaster ride or a slightly interactable linear thing. But it was much more. It was a proper game! Two hours of VR syorytelling and atmosphere oozing the Psychonauts vibes. Art style looks very good in VR, interactions are simple but it never feels like it is a hinderence. All the mechanics fit exactly to what the setting/reasoning for it justifies and nothing feels like tacked on. Extremely nice little game that is a complete package and fits nicely between Psychonauts 1 and 2. Very worth the full price I paid as it is very polished, looks good, sounds good, story and writing is obviously great and is nice to play I wish it was longer as it was so enjoyable, but what it is, is very well paced and very "rich" experience. I would gladly pay more for a longer, as polished and well paced game like this. TECHNICAL ISSUES: Steam Link crashes the game on launch with PICO 4. Using Virtual Desktop caused no issues.

Тим Шейфер не подкачал с филлерной частью психонавтов. Очень грамотно завёрнуто в VR платформу. Как всегда отличная история, раскрывающая становление одного из персонажей прошлой части. Мир как всегда невероятно проработан и разумеется фирменный абсурдный юмор команды Double FIne на месте. Очень жаль что во главе Microsoft сидит нейропридурок, которому не нужна платформа Xbox. И из-за этого страдают культовые разработчики. Молюсь что бы разрабы выкупили себя и наконец сделали так ожидаемую мной Brutal Legend 2.

Best VR Game!

Good use of VR and surprisingly friendly to people who get motion sickness. Would recommend but it's a bit short for $20, get it on sale.

Too much praise for what's essentially just an okay game. It's simultaneously both very short and very drawn-out. You can beat game in under 2 hours, but at least one 1 of those 2 hours you'd spend waiting for the next teleportation point to arrive at it's destination. I mean, don't get me wrong, the big location where you spend most of your gameplay time jumping between fishes is rather beautiful, but not 2-3 minutes per fish repeat x20 times beautiful. The only good moment is at the end where you teleport into a whale which changes scene scale. Frankly if you value your time, you'd be better off by using 100% complete save file to jump over most of this tedious trench fish teleportation stuff. The technical part is really outdated, you'll most likely need a meta app installed despite game running in steam OVR mode. The game expects you to have vive wands. Remapping touchpad presses to extra buttons of modern controllers isn't a problem, but telekinesis worked weird for me. After picking object up I could only move it slightly along my view axis. This can be fixed by using Xinput gamepad to play instead of vr controllers. Frankly. Just play Psychonauts 2 with VR mods. Much better experience, than just slowly teleporting around <10 different locations.

Отличное спин-офф дополнение к двум основным частям. Короткая, но захватывающая история с прекрасным визуалом. В игре нет русского языка, но есть хороший русификатор в сети. Так что если Вам сложно переводить внутриигровой сленг - решение есть. Единственный минус это управление телекинезом, можно было бы оставить управление просто на захват и движение руками, а не через стики на контроллерах. Разработчики, спасибо за угощение!

Loved the puzzles, quirky characters and visual design

Its fine, didn't match the charm of the first game fully, but has its quirks

Absolutely fantastic continuation of the Psychonauts story! Only critique is I feel a couple of the "travel from point A to B" segments were a bit slow and tedious, but other than that its a fantastic under 2 hour game for the franchise!
