The game has improved in every way from the original Project Starship
Probably a weird place for me to start playing shmups but its fun as hell anyway. Some of the stuff the game pulls on you with random events is downright outrageous but the game has a few tricks that make it a bit more lenient than it seems. And the game is wacky enough in every other way so it might as well be mechanically too. Still, whether you dig the rng stuff might affect how much enjoyment you get out of it.
Although I do like the original Project Starship, this is an improvement in just about every way. More characters to play as, more interesting levels and bosses, a better soundtrack, a better art-style, the works. As far as roguelikes go, this is definitely, one of the best ones that I've played in recent years. This is also arguably one of the best shmups that I've ever played.
I like the aesthetics and the gameplay is fun. But... I have little to no clue what the hell is happening all the time. Mechanics seem to work differently from time to time, some things that glow kill you, others teleport you. The "tutorial" is just a level where you have to figure it all out by yourself. It's just a normal level. No explanations. It seems fun, but it's just more frustrating than fun sadly.
A weirdo shmup with a bizarre sense of humor and a lot of charm. The gameplay was standard shoot em up with your ship that is constantly moving forward over a repeating background, lots of ♥♥♥♥ flying at you, and some power ups and special abilities. I just found it enoyable enough to make it through the first phase of the game but irritating and repetitive after that. If you're really into shoot em ups though check it out.
When you finish a level and the game tells you to GIT GUD you know you're in for a ride!
The POG juice keeps flowing. IT. NEVER. STOPS.
I tried this for an hour, but didn't enjoy it.
Great bullet hell roguelike
Actually one of the best games ever made 10/10! Super cool game with great game play, art style and music. It has rogue-like elements and a well balanced progression. It def is worth the asking price and I think most people will be pleasantly surprised by it. You can really feel the love and craftsmanship in this one!
