Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.57/day in the week to Jul 26 → 9.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the best in the genre over the last few years. Super fluid movement and rewarding exploration. The combat feels fast-paced with many combo options and challenging boss fights. The art style is really interesting and super colorful. It also runs awesome on the Steam Deck. It deserves way more recognition.
its fun
A polished, challenging, and sprawling metroid vania. I like that it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel but instead takes what works in other games of the genre for a very enjoyable whole. I loved it
Historia muy buena , jugabilidad una gozada, graficos excelentes, han puesto mucho cariño en hacer el juego se nota
its ok. i find myself going through TOO many obstacles rather than fighting. if you like that than its for you. Its not for me though..by the time u complete the obstacles its not even exciting.

So much so I’m a little shocked on why there was never a sequel proper. The puzzles are legitimate fun, the boss fights are epic, and the platforming feels great. I don’t see myself replaying it because it offered everything, I wanted the first time around. There are additional hardcore platforming challenges and DLC to tackle if wanted to spend more time in the world. But the 37 hours I spent with it was more than enough

Should you get it? 110% if you like platformers and metroidvanias. Even at full price I think this game is worth checking out. I think it clocked in at a respectable time even for me doing everything that wasn’t the platforming trials.

Overall Verdict 8.5/10. This will be one of those essential metroidvanias if time does the right thing. In an age of Hollow Knight, Metroid, Nine Sols and such; Prince of Persia the Lost Crown deserves to be remembered. Even though the story is bootycheeks, it does everything else amazingly. Combat, enemies, boss fights and most importantly exploration feel A1 in this game. Clocking in at just over 30hrs to do everything

Setting and Writting: Prince of Persia the Lost Crown IS NOT about the titular Prince of Persia. This comes as a shock for series veterans. Instead, you play Sargon. He is part of an elite group of Persian Warriors known as the Immortals. You come into the game staving off invasion from a rival empire. Sargon defeats the leader of the opposing army and the Persian Empire celebrates. That is until your mentor kidnaps…the Prince of Persia (I promise this isn’t spoilers; this is like the first hour). The queen tasks you with going to retrieve him. What follows is a pretty…not good time hijinks adventure with attempts of betrayal, shenanigans and the possession of the power of a Persian god. The game takes you through the fallen ancient city of Mount Qaf. Here you have the beautifully done trappings of a metroidvania map. Which is to say the whole area has variety of biomes. Jungle, library, inner temple chambers and you bet the sewer is there. Gameplay system & Bosses: One of the first things I want to brag about in Prince of Persia isn’t the one that everyone talks about. No, I want to talk about combat. The combat system in the game is incredibly fun for a metroidvania. Instead of taking the FromSoft approach that is usually some type of weighty punishing combat or parry focused, this game goes stylish combat. That right, Prince of Persia (from this point abbreviated PoP) goes Devil May Cry. The satisfying feeling of learning openings to start a combo the enemy can’t get out of gives feels very rewarding. Obviously not all enemies can just be popped up and continuously air juggled. In this case you are given trips where you can start OTG combos (fighting game lingo for off the ground). Don’t want to do stylish action and want to be meticulous in nooch (more fighting game lingo for neutral close-quarters attacks), fine here’s a generous parry if you want to be in the enemy’s face. Combat feels so fun and fluid. Adding amulets which allow for customization on how you approach combat. You can invest in to parry damage, gain more super meter from enemies killed so that you can unleash devastating attacks, etc. Per usual, amulet slots will be found during your adventure. The thing everyone raves about in this game though is the memory system. This is something that should be adapted in some way for future metroidvanias. Often in our travels do we come across the jump that needs an extra. Alas, we have not learned to double-jump yet. So, you leave and possibly forget the secrets that area would’ve had. NO MORE I TELL YOU. The memory system makes a screenshot marker and places it on the map. When looking back you have a memory of what you even needed. It’s a game changer. Lastly the bosses. If the bosses thought they were safe from the combos, WRONG. Now they will hit health markers that change up their move set sure. But it’s awesome to know you can take your labbed combos into a boss battle Quest, Mini-games & Challenges: To be fair I used the accessibility option in PoP that marks your next main story objective. Normally, you’d use the context clues within the story to chart your path. But like in my other reviews…. I don’t have the time anymore as a full-time worker soooo, sure highlight where I need to go. I’ll figure it out. But as stated previously. The main quest here is not good. Doesn’t make much sense nor does it feel like it comes together in the end. The side quests are neat, but nothing genre-defining like Hollow knight. What is nice is the journaling system that gives you the next step that you’re to complete. Therefore, traceability is nice. Riddled throughout the map are challenging platforming sections that test the traversal and time abilities gained throughout the adventure. They delightfully test your mind and dexterity. Those are throughout the map. Separately are the challenge rooms for the sickos. Didn’t touch them. But I’m certain they would’ve been fun as well Miscellaneous (art, music, etc.): The art in this game is crispy. It goes for what seems like cartoon comic book. Its fun, vibrant, and looks nice on steam deck. Music was nothing to write home about. That’s to say nothing in the score jumped out to me.
It's bad actually.
