About
Primordialis is a physics-based roguelike fish builder. Unleash your creativity to defeat creatures using venomous tentacles, electrical shocks, or exploding children. The possibilities are endless. Explore the primordial depths to reveal its secrets and discover what lies beyond.
================================= Create ==================================
The core of Primordialis is its simple yet deep creature creation system. Your body is constructed out of cells which each have unique properties and functions. With over 60 cell types to place and combine, there are countless creative combinations you can use to engineer your perfect fish.
You are given the freedom to play how you want, whether you want to be a massive serpent that swallows other creatures whole or to tinker with complex mechanisms and circuitry. Your only limit is your imagination.
================================= Survive =================================
In the main rogue-like mode, you embark on a difficult journey of growth and evolution. Explore the world and learn to deal with a diverse ecosystem of hand-crafted enemies, all built using the same creature creation system as you. Discover cell types, mutations and more to help you survive in this harsh and brutal world. Traverse the 5 main biomes and discover what lies at the end.
You can also play in sandbox mode if you want to perfect your creature design plans before a run, study the biology of your enemies, or just enjoy some relaxed creature building.

It's pretty fun, and it's EA so I'm going to give it a little grace here and give a thumbs up. The game drops you into the first area. You have two cells to choose from to get started. You kill a single weak enemy, immediately go to level 5, and then there's a bunch more cells waiting outside the start area. You explore the first area crushing the creatures, leveling up, and finally killing this weird fish that turns out to be the area boss and you get to select a mutation. First area done, ez pz, but it takes a bit of time swimming around and exploring to collect stuff. Then you go into the rapids and head to the 2nd area, and you get killed in a single attack. You do the first part again, get built up, and go back and get killed in a single attack again by something different. You repeat this until you can figure out how to not die in the second area. It's like dying to a boss in Dark Souls and having a long run back each time. I'm still trying to get past that. Outside of the area difficulty, the gameplay loop doesn't flow super well imo. You'll spend a ton of time adjusting your body as you level up and get room for more cells. You play a little bit, level up, and then spend time adjusting your body and figuring things out. You then play just a little bit more, level up more, and do that same thing again. Honestly time spent for me was around 80% of time adjusting my body with 20% of the time actually playing. -------------------------- It's not great, but it's not bad. I'm charmed by the ideas present, but put off by the execution. Hopefully with more time in the oven it gets better.
Primordialis isn't finished, i do understand that, but it's already fun enough for me to keep going back and playin' it again. Enemies? Same statistics and mechanics that You have, minus the Inventory managment. Physics? Better to understand the Real physics of the Real World to more/less make something somewhat efficient. Biomes? Literally made out of Hexagons too, but the Walls are deformed. You can make Laser Missiles, RC Drones, THE EMBODIMENT OF ZEUS (Literally?) and Acid bombs with... Guided Missile Launchers that hit so hard the Enemies die out of the sheer Kinetic Energy? I bet you can make Creatures of Mass Destruction that don't even look like Creatures... The ending is a more/less a shocker after you play this for a while...
The need to fix the sensitivity of the turning but good game all around.
a pretty neat game, simple to pick up but it can get complex i find it challenging, and occasionally a little frustrating but it's a good game.
it is a cool game I think more people should know about it as it has a small fan base. but otherwise I am more of a creative player even though I am not good at the building that much. also I could not beat the heart but I would say to try it out because it is still fun to play creative.
