WOW! This is surprisingly, unexpectedly good! Why haven't I came across this game before? Magnificent metroidvania with some vibes from my childhood😅. Anomalocaris? Dunkleosteus? Cornosaurus? I loved dinosaurs when I was a kid, their names are familiar to me:) The plot and the level design are also awesome, plus the ability to improve the village added to the atmosphere. I highly recommend it! The only downside, in my opinion... Tyrannosaurus... It isn't scary enough.
I would like to preface this positive review with saying that there is what some, myself included, would identify as a glaring flaw near the end game which ruins the flow. Other than that it is a solid title and while I wish maybe there was a little more there, it plays very well once you get the hang of the combat. THE ISSUE: You collect keycards from around the map. The game dev intended path is that you DONT just use them willy nilly, and try to go the LONG WAY AROUND, to get your key cards back, where possible. The issue is its not always super clear where this is possible, and its certainly never convenient. If you give the players an item, and pair it with a QoL tool, guess what. They want to use the QoL tool and not go around the long, oftentimes confusing way. Othewise, the leveling is fun and balanced. While stagger is annoying, you can juke enemies, so its fairly balanced. The story is intriguing. The graphics are charming. And to boot - I love SeethingSwarm. Play Ninja Brawl, for free. That is unfortunately a game that doesnt stab you in the back at the end. I am leaving this review positive because I like you as a dev seethingswarm, you definitely are an OG and I respect that. But I did not enjoy this game. Please keep making games!

Yes! Caveman, dinosaurs and aliens in a charming little world! Had to look online sometimes to determine where to go next but still lots of fun.
