If you like farm-sims but want something a bit different, without the same "crops, cows and farm-stuff" theme, this will be a refreshing game. Very similar but focused more in exploring the land, collecting ingredients, and curing people when they're sick with your potions instead of harvesting and selling crops, milk and eggs.

I like the idea of this game, I really do. I have only played for about 3 hours so this review may change. I have played alot of these types of games and I like that this one does things a little bit differently. I like that you can "work" at the post office, police station and church to earn you some extra money early on. I absolutely love the idea of the clinic and making potions to treat people. However. The game loop is very boring and I feel like the game lacks depth. It's not that there is a learning curve and lots of things to figure out, there isn't. There is only one thing you do in this game, which is fine if that's what you like. For me though, it loses my interest and it's probably a game that will end up in the dust pile end up never played again. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it if you enjoy games like Stardew Valley, Chef RPG or any other of the similar kinds of games.

Potion Permit ist ein richtig schönes Spiel, wenn man weiß, worauf der Fokus liegt! Bei Portion Permit geht es nicht primär um das Heilen von Patienten, das Sammeln von Zutaten oder Brauen von Tränken, auch wenn man das zunächst denken könnte. Es geht eigentlich um die Geschichte der Stadt Mondburg und vor allem um ihre Bewohner. Und wenn man das Spiel auf diese Art und Weise spielt, macht es richtig Spaß! Zu Beginn war ich auch ein bisschen enttäuscht, weil ich dachte ein Spiel ähnlich wie Stardew Valley vor mir zu haben. Aber das ist es überhaupt nicht, denn erstens gibt es kein Farming und zweitens ist die Story sehr viel tiefer und liebevoller durchdacht. Die Charaktere in Mondburg sind nicht einfach nur NPCs mit denen man sich abundzu unterhält. Es sind tatsächlich Individuen mit eigenen Geschichten, Problemen und Eigenheiten. Und genau das macht es so schön! Am Anfang ist man der/die Fremde in Mondburg und wird von den Bewohnern nicht sehr freundlich und überwiegend abweisend empfangen. Aber je mehr Quests man macht und Freundschaften man aufbaut, umso mehr wird man Teil der Stadt. Das klingt vielleicht ein bisschen pathetisch, aber darum geht es tatsächlich in diesem Spiel. Deshalb macht es meiner Meinung nach auch keinen Sinn, sich darauf zu konzentrieren so viele Rohstoffe wie möglich zu sammeln, tausend Tränke zu brauen und zu hoffen, dass mehr als ein bis zwei Patienten pro Tag in die Klinik kommen. Viel mehr Spaß hat man, wenn man mit den Bewohnern redet, ihre individuellen Quests erfüllt und die Umgebung der Stadt Stück für Stück wiederherstellt (was Teil der Hauptquest ist). Meiner Meinung nach bietet das Spiel an sich großes Potenzial und wäre sehr ausbaufähig. Aber so wie es momentan ist, gefällt es mir auch sehr gut. - Potion Permit ist nicht Stardew Valley, kein Farming Spiel, kein Trankbrau-Spiel oder ähnliches! Es ist ein liebevoll gemachtes Spiel dessen Fokus auf der Story und den Charakteren liegt, eine tolle Pixelgrafik hat, unkompliziert zu spielen ist und wirklich Spaß macht, wenn man sich für die Charaktere und Geschichte der Stadt interessiert.

My girl and I both loved this! The art is so beautiful, especially the little birds flying around and the cat. I really enjoyed the story, and the payoff was rewarding. It brought me so much joy being able to take care of people since I physically can’t be a medic anymore. I think the next game could benefit from having a difficulty setting. I can’t wait to see more from you guys!

Great game and had a lot of fun. Unfinished for sure but left on a good spot I guess. Get it on sale and spend a couple days in Moonbury. Great concept. Wish it wasn't abandoned.

It's cute and easy to play with a decent plot. If you like cozy games then this is a good one to try.
