About

Twenty years after the devastating eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, Pompeii rises from the ashes. As the head of a Roman family, you will guide the city's rebirth, shaping its future through politics, trade, and the challenges of life in the Empire.

The city may have been destroyed, but its spirit endures. Rebuild Pompeii from the ground up, balancing the needs of patricians, plebeians, and slaves, each with their own ambitions and grudges. Every street, forum, market, and aqueduct shapes not just the city, but the fortunes of your family for centuries to come.

Lead across decades, navigating the shifting tides of Roman politics. Shape laws, negotiate trade rights, and form alliances through marriage or contract. Secure favor with emperors, outwit rivals, and expand your family's influence far beyond Pompeii's walls.

Construct housing, temples, arenas, and more to meet your citizens' needs. Establish trade routes across the Empire, monitor shifting markets, and keep your economy strong. Every decision, good or bad, can echo for generations.

The game incorporates active and passive bonuses through Family Bonuses, Research and Development, and Imperial Privileges. There are two main research branches: Technology and Philosophy.

The greatest threats are not always on the battlefield. Earthquakes, fires, famine, plagues, and political sabotage can strike without warning. Some enemies will wear armor, others will smile as they shake your hand, all will test your leadership.

nach anfänglichen problemchen lief es gut und es hat absolutes suchtpotential, da man immer weiterkommen möchte. von mir absolute Empfehlung
très bon jeux
Nice game, taking over the Caesar legacy. Very very good game for an indie, very good amount of content.
I wanted to get a quick review in while it is on sale. So far it is fun. Looks and feels like an older game. It does seem to have a good bit of depth to the tech tree and buildings. The lack of other maps will hamper replay ability some and some of the controls are a little clunky but maybe they will fix that as it seems to be a new release. I would def recommend it on sale and will update the review when I have more time with it.
Eu gostei muito, parece com o game antigo Cesar. Facil e com um grafico agradavel.

fajny builder
Nice kinda relaxing game. Recommenden for a 30-hour campaign plus sandbox.
A good old classic city builder that is clearly made with a lot of love and attention to detail. Lots of items and production chains to manage, but if you like this sort of game you know that's the fun of it. Make sure you're producing enough charcoal! Also runs well on my slightly elderly computer which I appreciate.
Okay, I have to say I do enjoy this game in general. The grid format has drawbacks but it also makes for some very satisfying and symmetrical designs I enjoy. Good variety of buildings and a decent progression that makes it feel natural expanding your city. With that said, though, there are drawbacks. It feels somewhere between an early access game and a nostalgic early 2000s game, and not in the good way. Camera controls can be clunky, the camera just doesn't go low enough to really enjoy your city, and overall it feels a little dated. It ran a little slow at times through most of the game, but reaching the late game it suddenly came to a screeching halt, maybe 1 FPS. Mechanics-wise, it's lacking. It has military production but no military. It just feels like a needless production line. It has naval trade and ship building but no control over those ships besides assigning them to trade routes. Luxury items don't seem to have any purpose except to give you another thing to produce or trade for. There's also just three maps, all of which are relatively small, boring, and completely unrealistic looking. If it was early access or 20 years old I could forgive it. To their credit the devs are keeping up and updating things fairly regularly, but that's something you do in development or early access, not months after release.
