Reviews
Polimines 1 & 2 are excellent minimalist puzzle games. The handcrafted puzzles are diverse and come with a well-balanced difficulty curve. A great game to relax while stimulating your brain.
+ challenging (on a level with tametsi imo) + decent number of levels (60) + requires a variety of different techniques to solve all the levels - visually boring - note taking function is a step down from Tametsi - feels more boring/repetitive than Tametsi overall, a big improvement over Polimines 1. One of the best minesweeper games around imo
Sequel to one of the most interesting logic puzzle games of recent times. At first I was sceptical at the newly introduced tiles, but once I got used to them, they really enabled even more complex puzzles that seem impossible at first. It gets quite challenging at times and doesn't always fully balance the nonogram/minesweeper mix, but that hardly matters when it fully delivers on pure logic puzzle gameplay.

What a beautiful game. Even when it's cripplingly difficult it's never unfair or ambiguous. The only improvements to be found are within.
Juegazo, ahora hagan el 3 jajaj
Tough, but fair. If you've already torn your way through Hexcells, Crosscells, Squarecells, Tametsi, and Liqidium and went 'but is there anything *harder*?' - congratulations, you've found it. Polimines 2 has a couple unique modifiers/cells - the ¿? block, the chain block, and the 'elevator' (double-arrow) block. They all add some lovely, crunchy complexity into levels. Personally, I'm not the *biggest* fan of the mine group (double-arrow) block, just because it gets a bit tedious given the many, many blocks a mine group can end up traveling - it feels like you'd need a simulator outside of very basic deductions. But overall, I very much enjoy PM2. I'm only about 50% of the way through. Well worth your time if you enjoy these deductive reasoning games. EDIT: Suggestion: Add the ability to replace ¿? blocks with what you think the number is. The game shouldn't confirm if your number is right or wrong, but it would save a lot of holding info in your head and make things smoother. (Bonus points if we can do stuff like '<=2' or whatever) Also, I really don't like the Arrows block. It slows the entire game down to a crawl due to all the possibilities.
Sadly I cannot recommend any puzzle game with a "mistakes" mechanic impeding its completion.
This is a fiendishly brilliant set of puzzles. Excellent stuff.
Both Polimines games hit all the right notes for fans of Minesweeper or Picross - great combination of the two, and fiendishly difficult at points. Wonderful minimalist puzzle games.
