Point Salad - The Board Game

"Point Salad - The Board Game" ist die Digital-Umsetzung des gleichnamigen Kartenspiels. "Punktesalat" (so der deutsche Titel), erschien im Jahre 2020 auf deutsch. Das simple Kartenspiel, das man in etwa in 15 Minuten gespielt hat, eignet sich gut als Absacker. Wir haben beiseitig bedruckte Karten. Auf der einen Seite befindet sich jeweils eine von sechs Gemüse-Sorten. Auf der anderen Seite finden sich Zielkarten, die für eine bestimmte Kombination von Gemüse am Ende des Spiels bestimmte Punkte ausschütten. Es werden drei Zielkarten und sechs Gemüsekarten ausgelegt. Die Spieler nehmen in ihrem Zug entweder eine Zielkarte oder zwei Gemüsekarten an sich. Wer am Schluß die meisten Punkte hat, gewinnt das Spiel. Das funktioniert beim realen Brettspiel recht reibungslos und auch die Digital-Umsetzung, die sich ästhetisch und mechanisch ans Brettspiel hält, ist gut bedienbar und recht übersichtlich. Man kann mit bis zu fünf Gegnern spielen, die real sein können oder vom Computer übernommen werden. Das Familienspiel ist wirklich simpel, schnell gespielt und schnell erklärt. Trotzdem, oder vielleicht deswegen funktioniert es wirklich gut und ist für die kurze Spielzeit unterhaltsam. Viel Abwechslung gibt es allerdings nicht und man wird kaum gleich mehrere Partien am Stück spielen wollen. Ästhetisch kopiert die DIgital-Umsetzung das Artwork des Originals, das sehr auf schnelle Erkennbarkeit setzt und vor allem funktional wirkt. Die Musik, die an Banjo-Gezupfe erinnert, dudelt im Hintergrund und wird recht schnell nervig. Insgesamt ist die Umsetzung solide und sauber. Ohne Frage gilt aber: Brettspiele sollte man am besten mit realen Gegnern genießen. Dafür sind sie gemacht. Wenn man allerdings gerade keine Mitspieler zur Hand hat, ist diese Digital-Umsetzung eine gute Alternative. Great game simple game! Just like the one in real life. Only wish they had the 3 round variant, especially with 2 player.

I really enjoy the table top version of this game. I was very excited when I found it here. I had fun playing fro as long as it lasted. Unfortunately, it stopped working for me. I can open the program, but it won't let me start a game.

A simple but brainy game. Every turn you can either draft a scoring card or 2 vegetables. The trick is to try to make everything you draft work together. I got it as a gift from a friend and enjoy it much more than I though I would.

Great and simple design of a popular card game. I have played a few matches against AI and it works perfectly. If you don't know the rules you have a tutorial manual in the options, but overall it is a very simple game. Each players turn in game is smooth and easy to follow and if you played Point Salad as card game you'll definitely love this digital version.

On 20 games only one time played first, cheating from publisher. If I choose to collect something and another player AI choose to collect something else, next opponet plays only against me and always take only that what I collect. Cheating game.

Started the game expecting some fun, and it totally delivered. Sure, it’s a bit different in the digital version, but Caesar, the French, the Greek, and I had an absolute blast. One of those “I’ll just play one more round” situations that somehow turn into two hour session. For me and my schedule it's perfect palate cleanser.
