«Pogo»
Video (gameplay + commentary):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZxM1Oyc6lE
Review:
More intense than I was expecting -- in a good way! You're a dude forever gripping a pogo stick and you have to navigate deceptively simple levels made way harder due to the timing and patience required on landing every pogo jump. Falling off levels is common. Having never used a pogo stick myself, it seems like this game strikes a pretty decent balance between what it'd really feel like to use one and the catastrophic reality of all the times you'd fall on your face in the process of learning. Your character in the game (at least with the earlier pogo sticks) doesn't easily let go of the pogo stick, typically taking a projectile several bashes to even dislodge the stick. As you complete levels you'll gain experience and be able to unlock more pogo sticks. I only have two sticks at the time of this review and they definitely do feel noticeably different and require different technique and timing to get right. It cannot be understated that this game is borderline frustratingly difficult, but lots of it may be just getting used to/figuring out the nuances of timing your jumps. If this challenge sounds fun to you, give Pogo a glance. EDIT: I striked the below paragraph as it's no longer relevant. I was having issues unlocking new levels and now realize that (thank you dev response!) it's linked to getting enough XP and not simply plowing through all the levels. [strike] At the moment I can't figure out how to unlock levels past the initial "Beginner" tier levels. I've completed them all (between using two different pogo sticks) and haven't seen any new levels appear. Again, hoping this bug (or my lack of understanding how to access it) will be fixed at which time I'll remove this part of the review.[/strike]
Pogo has rage game tendencies but ultimately is pretty fair in it's difficulty. It's also a lot of fun to play. I've cleared all beginning stages and have to go back with my new pogo before I can advance, but I fully intend to dive right back in. It may look like a cheap game or an asset flip but this game is REALLY good. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/ANkGpX8RE84
Incredibly hard, but incredibly satisfying. Much like games such as the Trials series, this is a game for people who like the build-up to a large challenge. The earlier levels will build you up gradually before the harder levels smash you back down to earth. Each time a new challenge is posed, or a new stick is unlocked you'll feel like a rookie again while you get a handle on the handling, but once it clicks you'll find yourself breezing through the mid-game levels, only for the next lot to start kicking your arse again.
Fantastic. Controls are a bit jankey but you get the hang of it and it's pretty good
Like the previous reviewer, i saw a Youtuber (Borkus Time) play this game. It's a pretty good physics based puzzle game where you hop around on a pogo stick attempting to collect a star to complete levels
Pogo is a fun pogo stick simulator. On your pogo stick you need to try and navigate increasingly absurd courses. Rotating platforms, cannons shooting at you, it's challenging and fun. I found it quite good and enjoyed my time trying it so take a look at my video to see what it has to offer... https://youtu.be/lM-WtURKN2M Thanks for watching. Please like comment and subscribe.
This Game is a hard 3d fun pg happy wheels. its fun when you get launched across the map. There is alot of speedrun potential and it is the most satisfying thing when you finish a level that you have been stuck on. There are a lot of laughs and a lot of fustration but overall it is one of the best games for its price
its terrible
