Personally, I've got to say... this game is most definitely not designed for a gamer with poor navigational skills like me! Please Find Me is a game that really tests your ability to mentally map out the routes you've taken and take notes of important stuff you find along the way, such as destructible stalactite and stalagmite or hackable (with an axe) seaweed that will "unlock" new locations, while being underwater. Plus, considering that you only have 1 minute and a half of "air time" while submerged, you really need to know where to swim. Unfortunately, what I managed to do is to swim blindly around in circles. There are also plenty of dangers along the way, such as pufferfishes, ravenous schools of piranha, shapeshifting alien... and of course, the always looming danger of running out of air.
Watch me play... until I couldn't take it anymore
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-ain5_ZMyE - There's actually a part in this video where I tried following a stream of bubbles upwards in hopes of finding a pocket of air, but I was sorely disappointed. - I should also point out that perhaps due to the camera, the game is very nauseating for me to play. The game boasts of 3 different endings with 1 probably requiring you to basically do nothing except to wait out the rain like you should have done; and of the other 2 - I'm pretty sure 1 involves you dying for whatever reason and the second is the ultimate ending where you managed to escape from the underwater hellhole you fell into. Note that all of these endings are just guesses since I didn't manage to complete the game - and I have not yet killed my character - so I couldn't be certain of an endings. There's also a very odd thing about this game. Besides the "jump scare" by that shapeshifting, alien-like monster, the game also seems like it's developed as a joke. Why do I think so? Well..... There are actually several short clips that will play at certain points in your adventure where you'll get to see your character doing some weird acts (ragdoll-style) whether it is tripping over his own feet and falling over; or just have his arms and legs stretched like Mr Fantastic from the Fantastic 4. It's obvious to me that these clips are intended as jokes but I do think that these jokes seem quite out of place and aren't suited to the gameplay or the atmosphere at all. In contrast, these clips do more harm than good by breaking the immersion.
Overall
Thought there would be more adventuring and storytelling in this game, so I guess I ended up quite disappointed. The game - I'll just call it an "escape-the-room-like" game - seems to provide more questions than it answers, and well, I'm not a huge fan of swimming blindly underwater, trying to find tools to "unlock" new locations and potentially, a way out. The shapeshifting monster is actually a nice touch. After all, the first time it appeared, it gave me a good, solid jump scare. Even at its low price, I can't honestly recommend this game. Maybe there will be players who will enjoy it, but I most definitely didn't. I am going in circles in this game...the navigation system is pretty terrible in regards to being able to accomplish what we are suppose to in this game. great visuals. awesome content. Great effort and it shows. This was interesting, funny...the mechanics were smooth and crisp. Good job, just needs some touch up finish work!
A must have !
Crazy I die everytimes XD
1. Beautiful Visuals. 2. Mystery. 3. Puzzle Solving Elements.
