About
Up to four players build and run a restaurant from scratch, choosing dishes, buying and placing appliances – some of which can be daisy-chained together to create ambitious automatic kitchens – cooking food and serving customers.
Players have free rein to design their restaurant which will expand and develop between shifts – with additional content and challenges unlocked through progression.

LOOOOOVE THIS GAME!!! (as you can see my hours... some people think I'm crazy for my hours in this game) ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5 Stars - Would Play Again and Again! Bought the game in Sept 2022, and I always end up playing this game at least for 2-3 weeks once a year to 2 months, where I play nonstop. I spend 6-8 hours at a time on the game, the game can be very addicting (at least to me). My brain for some reason relaxes and I kind of go on auto-pilot, but in a good way. Where it feels like I'm not using my brain, but I am since you have to figure out what set up works for you, as the cards you are delt with may f*ck up your plans, as well as trying to figure out how to automate everything so that you don't have to do anything in the end. My goal for each restaurant/game session is to automate (and possibly see how fast I can do get there), some people might just generally want to go to see how long you can keep the restaurant going as possible. On top of the base games there are tons of mods on the steam workshop that you can subscribe/download that can mix up the vanilla game as well as improve the quality of life of the game. This is such a fun game to play solo or with others. I've bought this game for others as I love this game and want others to have fun as well. The experience of the game solo vs with friends can be different but sooooo fun either way. I tend to yell at my friends that play with me when they are being idiots, but I can be super silent when playing solo since I'm sooooo focused on the game. (if you don't have any friends that want to play this game, you can join Plate Up discord and there are people looking for others to play the game with them but playing solo is also not bad) Plate Up is really a game that I know I can go back to and enjoy the game play consistently. Its really my comfort game that if I can't get friends to play other games with me I know I can play Plate Up on my own and really have fun cause there are games out there that just don't feel great to play solo, where you get bored after 5 minutes but for me PlateUp is a game you can enjoy with others or solo. This game can be easy yet hard at the same time but thats what I like about it. Its easy enough that you can get the hang of it after a few plays, but it can be challenging at the same time so you won't get too bored of the game play even after playing it for more than 100 hrs and it allows you to think and strategize/plan out the restaurant set up, finding new tricks to make you faster, learning how to automate the restaurant for the BOH and FOH (which my bf likes to equate the automation similarly to red stoning in Minecraft) & if you have friends to play with you guys have to figure out your coordination to make sure the restaurant flows properly as if EVEN 1 CUSTOMER is mad with your service your restaurant dies (I use to Alt + F4 to shut my game down and load the game back up just to save my restaurant once I get that dreaded newspaper letting me know that we failed). This game just itches the brain so nicely, I can not recommend enough to others to play this game is just that good in my opinion!!!!
