Very nice game
Plastiland is a charming, small-scale puzzle-platformer that wears its inspirations proudly while carving out a distinct identity through its handcrafted visual style. Co-developed by FreshGem and Zillion Whales and published by Zillion Whales, the game draws clear lineage from classic “guide-the-creatures” puzzle games, most notably the Lemmings tradition, but reimagines that formula in a whimsical world that looks as though it has been sculpted entirely from colorful plasticine. The result is an experience that feels nostalgic in structure yet visually playful and approachable, designed more for thoughtful problem solving than high-pressure challenge. At the center of the gameplay are the small clay creatures known as plastiballs, which wander through levels filled with hazards, gaps, and environmental obstacles. The player’s role is indirect: rather than controlling the plastiballs directly, you assign them specific jobs that alter their behavior and allow progress through each stage. These roles include builders that create walkways, crushers that destroy barriers, and other specialized functions that must be deployed carefully and in limited quantities. Each level becomes a puzzle of resource management and timing, where success depends on choosing the right roles at the right moments rather than quick reflexes. Level design follows a gradual and accessible learning curve. Early stages are intentionally simple, introducing mechanics one at a time and giving players space to understand how each role functions. As the game progresses, levels become more layered, introducing new hazards such as lava flows, trap mechanisms, portals, and environmental modifiers that restrict certain abilities. These additions gently encourage experimentation, often presenting multiple possible solutions rather than a single rigid path. While the overall difficulty remains on the lighter side, the game consistently asks players to think ahead and anticipate the consequences of their choices. The most immediately striking aspect of Plastiland is its visual presentation. Every character, object, and environment appears molded from soft clay, complete with visible texture and rounded imperfections that give the world a handcrafted feel. This plasticine aesthetic lends the game a storybook quality, as if each level were a miniature diorama brought to life. Animations are simple but expressive, reinforcing the lighthearted tone without distracting from the puzzles themselves. Complementing the visuals is a gentle soundtrack and playful sound effects that enhance the whimsical atmosphere and make experimentation feel inviting rather than punishing. Despite its charm, Plastiland is deliberately modest in scope. With a limited number of worlds and levels, it offers a concise experience that can be completed without a massive time investment. For some players, this brevity and relatively low difficulty may feel underwhelming, especially compared to more demanding puzzle-platformers that push mechanics to their limits. However, this same approachability makes the game well suited for casual play, younger audiences, or players seeking a relaxed puzzle experience without steep difficulty spikes. Replay value comes primarily from experimenting with alternative solutions and improving efficiency rather than from hidden content or branching progression. The game doesn’t heavily incentivize perfection or speedrunning, instead focusing on the satisfaction of solving each level in your own way. Occasional bonus stages and unexpected twists help break up the rhythm, but the core appeal remains rooted in its classic puzzle structure and tactile presentation. Ultimately, Plastiland succeeds as a gentle homage to classic puzzle-platformers, elevated by a distinctive visual style that gives it personality and warmth. It may not reinvent the genre or challenge seasoned puzzle veterans, but it delivers a cohesive, thoughtfully designed experience that emphasizes creativity, charm, and accessibility. For players who appreciate handcrafted aesthetics, nostalgic mechanics, and puzzle solving at a comfortable pace, it offers a pleasant and memorable journey through a world quite literally shaped by imagination. Plastiland is another attempt to create a Lemmings clone but fails to do so. In most cases I don't like mobile ports, just don't like how the game feels and Plastiland is no different. Aside from that the game is just really slow paced, combined with the annoying music I simply did not want to continue.
Doesn't launch.
