I’ve spent a few hours with Planet Driller, and it’s a fun little simulation that scratches that mining itch. The core drilling mechanics are satisfying, and there’s a nice sense of progression as you upgrade your gear and dig deeper. Some of the UI feels clunky and a few missions drag on, but overall it’s relaxing and engaging in short bursts. Not a masterpiece, but definitely enjoyable if you like resource management and exploration.
Its not great, for achievements its quite quick to 100%, there is cards too which is a bonus. The game is ok, but its very basic. after like 10 mins you will have got cash coming out of your ears and can fully upgrade everything. The new ships are a good idea, but as they are wider you would think they drill the width of the ship, but no they don't. so to get the big ship down to the lower areas you need to carve the route with the smaller ones, which then you think whats the point. i will say yes, as it does what it says on the tin. Its cheap, especially in sales, however i think its a grab the achievements, cards and done game

I was thinking to myself this would have been an amusing flash gamem during school back in the day...and lo and behold it was. Nowadays it just doene's thave the charm.
Ich fliege und bohre, und fliege zurück und verkaufe, dann kaufe ich und fliege und bohre wieder... warum soll ich das tun? Ich habe früher Dig Dug gespielt, hat mehr Spass gemacht.
