Lost all desire to play this game after the 842,354th click trying to remove one hour from a staff member's schedule. Seriously why the hell are there not templates. Great for building vignettes of things you see in amusement parks, not so much as an amusement park game overall.
THE modern theme park game, I think they're doing a good job with it!

so much freedom and easy to build stuff
I had over 400 hours in the old game and had built at least 3 massive parks and most of the career missions. I've got under 40 hours in this, done about 3 career missions and given up with the park I was building due to issues with powering rides underground, pathing, camera issues and totally uninspired pieces to use to build your park, most of which have been lazily ported from the previous games or removed completely to be resold as DLC. Feels like a bunch of interns were asked to improve a game which had an engine that was far outside their scope of ability. It seems a load of the attempts at "improving" it actually took them backwards and they struggled at launch to match features that were seen in the now 20 years old Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 games. Games that had DLC (Soaked & Wild) which did the equivalent to that game as whole new games of this franchise; Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster 2. It's not just the egregious piecemealing that's pissing off your consumer base, its the lack of ability to build a game that's worthy of being called a sequel, then trying to sell the exact same models to us we already paid for, there is zero goodwill for supporting them as a developer and to be honest, who even are Frontier anymore? I highly doubt anyone left working there could actually build Planet Coaster from scratch now judging by what's being shown by the developer across the industry today, just tacked-on additions to a decade-old engine

Took a few times playing to understand the new options and tool. I would recommend - it is beautifully done.
If you search for a fun coaster bilder PC2 is the perfect game. Personally I like it more than the prequel.
