Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Gonna be honest this one is very underwhelming compared to PC1. had high hopes thinking this would be as great as RCT3 Platinum not only is there no steam workshop like PC1, But the replacement Frontier workshop is very lackluster considering how old this game is already. Lowkey was disappointed, glad i didnt spend 50$ on this
To be clear, I still play this game quite a bit because, well, it's all we've got. Also, if you're a "park artist," just ignore this review. You already know this is the game for you and I love watching your park videos on youtube. But for people who are interested in simulation or even waterparks, read on. The issues... Waterparks: The game was advertised on this feature. It doesn't work. Not even a little. Pools fill 10x beyond capacity, guests swim through dry land, and some even sprout wings and swim peacefully among the crowds. Frustrating bugs will have you tearing your hair out when no one will ride a new water slide and it's not clear why. Guests will think "I want to ride Bodyslide 1," the catch-pool will have guests in it, you'll redo the pathing 15 times, you'll check the g-forces, yet no one will ride it. Water slide physics are worse than RC3, lazy rivers simply don't work without unrealistic workarounds, and guests will also clump on paths around pools for no reason, getting "desperate" until you delete the paths (usually because vertices invisibly combined in a weird way). The community assumes these features are being ignored because metrics show players aren't interacting with these features. I wonder why?? Park Operations: The most requested feature since PC1 is realistic station operations. They still don't exist. If you're a nerd that watches coaster documentaries on youtube, you know that station ops is the most interesting thing about coaster design after the track itself. Yet in PC2, they are still incredibly underbaked, with one functional design, and you get to watch in frustration as every single guest must clear the exit gates until new riders load. The game is also missing opening and closing operations, the ability to control areas of the park, hold night events, and dynamically adjust queues. It does have a fast-pass system that is also basic and incomplete. Nearly two years in, we are finally getting ride queue times and a realistic ride photo system. They just don't care about this part of the game. Areas where they did try to expand park operations (staff schedules and utilities) are often bugged or very unfun. Like why am I managing staff break times in a game where there are no clear "days" or times. Career Mode: If you like scenarios, the ones in PC2 suck mainly because they focused heavily on waterparks since that was their core advertising point. Even beyond that issue, the career mode maps are not memorable and often just frustrating (two different ridiculous "gorge" scenarios). I still remember probably half the RC2 scenarios, but I can't remember a single PC2 scenario landscape. Also, unlike Planet Zoo, PC2 provides no additional scenarios via DLC. Sandbox Mode: It's 2026 and there's no terrain generation. I would even take a small pool of blank maps at this point, but no, all you get is flat, empty sandboxes. This is great if you're planning to painstakingly recreate your favorite Magic Mountain - not so great if you're more of a sim person and want to start playing the game and using the landscape for inspiration. Overall just frustrating because it wouldn't take that much effort to minimally cater to sim players, but Frontier is just not interested. Thankfully, the community has made some template maps on the workshop. Anyways, if you're just interested in making a beautiful park, nothing beats PC2. The ability to create realistic coaster tracks is also incredible. But their lack of interest in improving the simulation really makes me sad. I'm not asking them to abandon their park artist fanbase, but it feels like they're leaving money on the table to not occasionally throw the tycoon crowd a bone given how many of us grew up on those games.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 3: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best BR #52, worst AU #100 · 10 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.88/day in the week to Jul 21 → 10.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A decade they have been making these games and the path building is still about as fun as poking yourself in the eye with needle. Probably couldn't make it more annoying even if they tried.
best game of rollar coasters i have ever played thank you dad for buying me this 60 dollar game !!!!!!
After two years the game main new feature is still bugged. Flumes can't even be tested as the dummies just slam around erratically like it was in g-mod and stop themselves dead in their tracks... Can't even finish the tutorial because of that. There are some interesting features for paths but I'm not gonna spend more time in the game if it can't even do properly what it had teased... If you don't care about the whole water park feature it might be okay to purchase if you don't have the first one. But I already have it and I'm not gonna spend money on basically the same game (if you abstract the water park stuff). It's gonna be a refund for me.
game would be fun if not for gamebreaking bugs like accelerated wear on rides and constant crime in the park. the constant notifications in your face about things that are wrong with the park is super annoying. then the worst part that ive seen is how certain rides are not even worth building as a bug in the game causes your parkgoers to not even want to ride them regardless of how fun you make them and the scenery you surround them with
I hate to say it based off of the fact that everything in this game is objectively better than the first but the gameplay experience has just been nothing but frustration from the beginning. I bought this game to play a franchise world with my friend and having some time in RCT and the first title I figured despite the mixed reviews how bad could it be, I quickly learned withing only about 5-10 hours of me playing on my own that this game has bad issues. For starters I personally think its crazy to have a roller coaster game and not even have some of the basic new gen coasters such as a new gen vekoma or at least track elements mixed with one another or even the option to just free ball different trains on different coaster types. It adds a layer of needing to do something else ontop of the game being modding which im just not looking for when im looking to chill. Next is the input issues. This game has a horrific issue, gamepad connected or not with mouse and keyboard controls. For some reason they stick constantly and also sometimes just stop working all together to the point I am forced to alt f4 the game and if I havent saved im just SOL for my progress in that gameplay period. My final complaint is power and water management systems, I understand its a part of real life but I very strongly dislike the new weather system and power system, the water management is fine, hot and cold is fine along with storms for guest attendance and othersuch but its super ridiculous how anything you have outside is just basically screwed for more than 15percent of the year on your gameplay which isnt a lot of time if your playing with time fast forwarded. I thought maybe I just needed to get used to this game like I did the first but after going back to the first game despite the lack of new gen content I still enjoy my time much more on the first game especially with how much cheaper the dlc is on sale and the variety of content already for props and scenes
Lost all desire to play this game after the 842,354th click trying to remove one hour from a staff member's schedule. Seriously why the hell are there not templates. Great for building vignettes of things you see in amusement parks, not so much as an amusement park game overall.
It's not objectively bad but for me it feels like PC1 but with unnecessary added complexity. I do not find it fun building power lines, managing water pipes, manually calling mechanics to fix things and so on. I much more prefer the simplicity of PC1. There are also some weird bugs like flying swimmers, falling river cars etc. two years after release.
