Penalizing the player for dying is terrible game design and no one will ever change my mind on this. The player is already penalized by having to redo the section but games like this one instead decide in addition you lose money, so if you grinding up for an upgrade and the missions ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (which it is half the time due to how quickly you die and how hard enemies can be to see.) it feels entirely like a slog and loses any momentum it had, this isnt dark souls, it doesnt work. If your going to try some ♥♥♥♥ like that then actually have the common sense to not reset everything.
Pretty fun and while using crappy psx graphics style I think it's actually done in a good way that fits the theme of the game kinda like what puppet combo does. Not much to say on story since it's not finished yet and it seems to just foreshadow the big bad that I assume you go and kill at the end of the game. Tons of variety with guns, melee, masks, traps, equipment, armor, you can mix and match a lot of things to suit whatever playstyle you want but the biggest downside to this is there's almost no reason not to use a sniper on the majority of the maps even the tighter ones since it one shots everything but HVT's. Everything is still subject to change since it's not even done yet but it's pretty solid so far. The only complaint I have is stealth is awkward and doesn't work very well and traps are pretty useless.

I loved hotline miami growing up and this game scratches that exact itch.
Love it, like Manhunt´s vibe had a sequel
I really like it. Fills a void not entirely dissimilar to something like Cruelty Squad though CS is very very good and would also get my strongest recommendation for the "build a loadout for a mission and approach how you want" FPS genre. The levels have a good difficulty progression and the new remixes are fun and definitely make the levels more dynamic and add replay. The weapon selection/loadout system is nice, and you can combine some of them to have great synergy (armadillo mask + grenade launcher for instance). The graphics are simple, but the gameplay is nice. Bring new weapons back to the Van to unlock them for free, no need to buy most of them. Recommendation is to do the Farm House mission maybe 2x to kinda get the flow, get the MAC-10, and put laser/dot/suppressor on it and you'll have a great automatic weapon that will hold up until enemies start showing up with armor. The LMG is also great as is the sniper rifle.
It's a fun game with potential. And I understand it's in early access and can stand some bugs. But it crashes/freezes too much.
First-person HLM looking great
Hotline Miami and Dishonored had a Manhunt themed birthday party for their weird lovechild My only complaint is I've caught up and have no new levels to play :(
cult佳作,玩起来十分解压 新更新的remix关卡略显大分,武器配件平衡也是
Please play this game! It is one of the most inspired titles I have played in a long long time. I find myself thinking about this game in my free time and when I'm busy at work because of the impact the aesthetics, gameplay and soundtrack have left on me. This game ha some time in the oven left but playing it now, you won't be disappointed. The inspirations are bare and well implemented, world sims like cruelty squad, grimy titles like hotline miami and manhunt are clear inspirations (oh boy I'm totally the first to say so) and the game play takes that and make it it's own. As a personal message to Tito, dude this ♥♥♥♥ is so cool and I love this game so much, I mention this game as a highlight of why modern indie games are the way to go amongst the like of Cruelty Squad(again), Ultrakill, Dusk, Omori, Cultic, Ena Dream BBQ, Trench Face, Psychopomp and Fear and Hunger. Side note, please release a physical media release of the game and just as importantly the soundtrack please dude, I need it, it's insanely good. Can't wait to see the final product that this game because, the highest recommendation I can give!
