Pass-time game, brain teaser, puzzle, hand-drawn, suitable for children, full of colours. Welcome to the puzzle museum, where each work you complete is hung like a painting and displayed in the museum halls, and you can visit at your leisure. There are 3 rooms to see each with 4 hanging paintings, in total there are 12 puzzles to complete with various levels of difficulty starting from 9 pieces, 36,81,144. The drawings represent scenes from the life of a sweet little girl, they are hand-drawn and have a cartoon style that is pleasant to look at, full of colours. Due to the ease with which the drawings can be reconstructed, this game is also very suitable for children. The music fits the theme of the game and is pleasant to listen to. I didn't understand what the "Gift shop" is for because you can see it but when you click nothing happens, maybe later they will put some DLC in this gift shop. I recommend it, it's family-friendly, easy, fun, and a pleasure for the eyes; the figures inspire so much tenderness and sweetness for this cute little girl and her animal friends. Piccadilly's Puzzle Museum is a relaxing, family friendly, jigsaw puzzle game developed and published by Novelline, Inc. The story itself is pretty simple. You take on the role of an unnamed main character who enters an art museum. At the entrance, you're greeted by Piccadilly, a young girl, and her cute animal friends who welcome you to the museum. As for the gameplay, there are a total of 12 different puzzle pictures, and each puzzle picture has 4 different puzzle level difficulties, ranging from 9 to 36 to 81 to 144 puzzle pieces to assemble. Initially, only the first puzzle picture with 9 puzzle pieces is unlocked, so in order to unlock the more difficult puzzle pieces and the other puzzle pictures, you have to complete this first 9-piece puzzle picture. You can play at your own pace and choose either to play in full screen, borderless windowed, or windowed mode. Fun tracks are present to listen to as well as lots of Steam achievements although they won't count towards a user's global total until the game is out of "Steam is learning about this game". Now that I've gone over the story and gameplay, I'll move onto my thoughts. Occasionally, I enjoy playing a fun, relaxing jigsaw puzzle game and Piccadilly's Puzzle Museum definitely is such a game. First, I love how I was immediately introduced into the puzzle museum and greeted by Piccadilly, looking cute in her rain gear outfit while waving her hand and smiling at you. Also, I liked listening to the voice acting, which helped to immerse me as I explored the museum. As for the puzzles themselves, I found them very enjoyable. Of course, completing the 9-piece puzzle sets was the easiest while completing the 144-piece puzzle sets was the most time consuming. The fewer puzzle piece sets are definitely more suited for kids, while the sets with lots of puzzle pieces are geared towards an older audience. Still, they are all doable, and I had no problems obtaining all of their corresponding achievements. If I have to think of a negative, it's that I wish that there were multiple options available in windowed mode since the default windowed mode almost took up my whole computer screen. Also, I wish that there was a way that edge pieces could be set apart from the middle pieces since I tend to like to complete the edges first in a puzzle before moving onto the inner parts of the puzzle. However, these points are very minor nitpicks and didn't deter me at all from enjoying this game a lot. With the art, I love the various paintings that served as puzzle sets. They have that cutesy, childlike, fantasy style that narrates Piccadilly's adventures. The paintings are lovingly hand-drawn and the colors feel bright, vibrant, and alive. Also, I like how the various art gallery rooms unlocked as you complete all of the puzzle sets and their corresponding level difficulties. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3206215966 In regards to the music, the tracks feel very happy and fun to listen to. They're the perfect accompaniment as you play through the various puzzles, assembling them into complete pictures. Of course, you can choose to mute the music (as well as the sound). Overall, would I recommend Piccadilly's Puzzle Museum? If you're looking for a fun, relaxing jigsaw puzzle game that's also family friendly, then this is definitely it. I had so much fun playing this game and completing the various puzzles. This game felt perfect for me, as I wanted to relax and have fun while it also provided a bit of a challenge at times. For the asking price, it's totally worth getting, as it took me over 7.5 hours to complete all of the puzzle pieces and difficulty level and to obtain all of the Steam achievements. Of course, you can choose to wait for a sale, but this really is the perfect game for families, from kids to parents. ^^ Finally, I want to give a major thank you to Novelline, Inc., for the review copy. I hope that there will be more jigsaw puzzles like this one in the future, and I can't wait to see where Piccadilly and her friends are off to next. ^^
For more detailed, high quality reviews like this, please follow The Introverted Gamer, prioritizing heart and soul always. ^^
A really nice and calming puzzle game to enjoy at any age level. The game features a myriad of challenges to comprehend while an entertaining soundtrack plays in the background, keeping the mind inspired for more puzzling fun.
best puzzle game to have come out in a while, I just bought all 3 books for my niece, she loves them!
A great jigsaw puzzle game for kids or anyone that wants to just relax and do some puzzles! The higher count pieces for difficulty make for an enjoyable experience and rewarding for any age!
A lovely little jigsaw puzzle game from a team I met at PAX East! Keep up the good work!
It's a cute puzzle game with amazing artwork and an adorable catchy soundtrack! What more could you want?
I love this game so much! The puzzles come in 4 difficulties and by the end are quite the challenge! The music is so enjoyable that unlike other games, I keep it on in the background the whole time I’m playing. The illustrations are adorable. I love filling my gallery and being able to play a narrated clip from the book when all 4 levels of the puzzle are complete. And incredibly, this app has no pop up ads or in-game purchases! Can’t beat that! It is good, clean, puzzling fun, and I can’t get enough of it!
