The idea seemed ok - it is why I bought it after all - but the game really does not seem to deliver any enjoyment. After a while it just feels like you are grinding out the words. There are spelling mistakes (eg "igenous" for "igneous"), at least one puzzle is repeated in different sections (shrimp is in food and misc 4) and the whole thing is too rooted in American culture. Yard and Antenna for example are american terms that most of the world does not use for lawn and ariel. Sure, the basic mechanic is fine but after that it feels like the developers just started slinging words in without any thought for making their creation interesting.
I found this game to be creative and fun. Sliding the clues to line up the correct letters for each solution was a unique game mechanic that I haven't encountered before. It kept my interest through all of the categories. However, in an effort to create clues that matched the right number of letters, some of those clues are really awkward. And some are downright confusing. I had to use hints on a number of them, because the solution was not obvious. For achievement hunters looking for a Perfect Game, this one is very straightforward. Complete every category and you'll end up with all of the achievements. Finally, this game is inexpensive; it's worth the price for what you get. I definitely recommend it to puzzle lovers. NOTE: You must be fluent in American English to understand some of these clues. One last note - my time of 7 hours is inflated by about 2 hours of idling while I went and took care of other things.
I liked this game. You can test your knowledge about a lot of topics. How much you know about movies, food, animals et. Also if you're a language learner then, this game is right for you! You can learn new words and expand your vocabulary. And if you step on the word that you don't know what does it mean then, open your browser go to https://dictionary.cambridge.org/ and find out meaning and pronunciation.
Toooooooooo easy.
找单词游戏 没啥特别的可玩性,而且其短的几个题目中单词答案明显是不唯一的 但你只能必须要找到它预设的单词,而其他的完全不作为正确答案 此类游戏关卡数量毫无意义,写个算法,成千上万的关卡随随便便就能搞出来 不怎么推荐作为游戏来玩,差强人意算是一个儿童学单词的益智软件吧
cool idea, mostly trivial puzzles, though it obviously depends on one's vocab and to a certain degree trivia knowledge. each level is a clue presented in a few words and you have to slide those words left and right until the highlighted letters answer the conundrum. there's an example on the store page, 600 more of that in numerous categories, shown on one of the screenshots. hints available (gotta wait a bit between uses), low price of $2 since 2018 (was $3 for about 2 years after release). only one level unlocks in each category at a time and no volume settings or exit button (esc works), but still recommendable, kills a few hours.
Phrase Shift is a creative word-play game which involves sliding certain letters Horizontally to create a word vertically and the hint for each level are the words themselves describing what you're meant to be looking for. The game has 600 different levels ranging from three letters up to eight, some of which have their own sections (Such as Music or Food related words) as well as also having an option to reveal one letter in the top right-hand corner if you're stuck. It's a simple but relaxing game, although there can be some difficulty in finding the hint in some levels, either being confusing or being hard to understand , fortunately there is a help button as mentioned earlier in the top right-hand of the screen. If you like either easy achievements or puzzler games involving finding words, with or without a discount, this game is worth buying.
Clever little time-waster. Not challenging at all for adult native speakers, may be fun for kids and second language learners. ▣ ▢ ▢ ▢ ▢⠀⠀⠀longevity ▣ ▢ ▢ ▢ ▢⠀⠀⠀replayability ▢ ▢ ▢ ▢ ▣⠀⠀⠀easy to pick up ▣ ▢ ▢ ▢ ▢⠀⠀⠀memorable art ▢ ▢ ▢ ▢ ▣⠀⠀⠀100%-able by casual player
