It simply is not the same game I fell in love with. Ranging to overly re-designing and catering towards specific playstyles - I just no longer want to play the maps anymore. The lighthouse was the beginning of this.
They broke the game with the updates. What the ♥♥♥♥ devs?!? It's ugly af no nostalgia for og players.
I love Phasmaphobia but the animation update made it so hard to enjoy playing. When you try and have multiple of the media devices down and ready to capture something the animation takes time away and you most of the time miss the media. I'm getting used to the Tanglewood rework but the animations make it unplayable for now.

игра тупорылый кривой забагованный кусок говна. ниче норм не работает разраб даун
After not playing Phasmophobia for over a year, I decided to give it another try. Unfortunately, the experience was far more frustrating than I expected. The game feels buggier, less stable, and overall worse than when I last played. Customization Is Completely Broken One of the first issues I ran into was the character customization system. Nothing worked the way it should: Changing my character model barely functioned. My ID card wouldn’t update, no matter what I changed. The game never saved any customization choices. Every attempt to adjust my appearance either didn’t register or instantly reverted. These are basic features that should be reliable, especially in a co‑op game where your character identity matters. Crashes and Instability To make things worse, the game crashed multiple times. It happened both in the menus and when trying to save customization changes. The whole experience felt unstable and unfinished. Overall Impression Coming back after a year, I expected improvements — instead, it feels like the game has taken a step backward. The bugs, crashes, and broken customization system make it hard to enjoy the game at all. Conclusion Phasmophobia still has potential, but in its current state, it’s difficult to recommend returning to it. When core features like character customization, saving settings, and basic stability don’t work, the game simply isn’t enjoyable.
This game was fantastic at launch, but it sucks hard ass now. I think the main dev must have offloaded his game to some hired underlings and it lost its soul.
If you already own it, keep playing, but if you don't then it's not worth it. The current state of the game is really bad for the price. It's janky and ugly and the devs don't listen to the player base as well as they should. Instead of receiving feedback and adjusting accordingly they choose to double down and push harder. I have hope that it will be a good game again at some point, as the core mechanics are fun and it's good to hang out with friends, but right now it just isn't it.
