An Anime Rouge like deck building game, with a beautiful dark style and an intriguing lore, you will be challenged by trying to build decks to keep pushing ahead, but it won't be as easy as to hoard powerful cards and called it the day. You will have to learn to manage your deck, no sideboard, no infinite room, your HP, and check what's available in store, all this between cooldowns, buffs, deffufs, and countering your opponent next move, you will have ample of room to strategize, plan ahead and try to raise victorious. All and all a very interesting and engaging game
I've played a lot of roguelike deckbuilders over the years and while each one has its own unique approach I can't say I've seen one do it in as unique a way as Phantom Rose. Normally with a deckbuilder of any kind, be it roguelike or cardboard, you want to keep your deck small to keep it consistent and efficient. This game is designed in a way that encourages the other way; since your entire deck is always "in your hand" you want to have as many options as possible. The way this balances out of course is that cards go on cooldown. The more powerful the card, the longer the cooldown. And the cooldowns don't reset after a battle meaning cards used at the end of one fight are unavailable at the start of the next. This alongside having to play two cards every round (even when you only really need one) makes the game feel a bit more strategic. Every time you hit a camp or finish a floor you must remove cards from your deck down to a maximum decksize so you can't just build up and up and eventually do have to pair down but it makes every choice feel so much tighter. The game is clearly designed to give you small bits of the lore every clear, with the game getting a little harder every run. It's a solid entry into the genre and I think well worth your time and money if you're looking for something with a bit of a different feel that doesn't get quite as insanely complicated and "broken" as other deckbuilders.
the girl is cute, play classic for the real game

Nice game roguelike deckbuilding, perfect if you want to pass the time in during a boring moment <3.
