For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
All aboard the Cosmic Express, a delightfully brain-melting game where the puzzles are out of this world! Your job is to lay down the train tracks across a series of tiny space stations. Each alien has a home of their own, and there’s only room for one extraterrestrial at a time in the passenger car. It's cute, harder than it looks, and guaranteed to give you hours of challenging fun across hundreds of levels.
Fiendishly difficult puzzle design from master puzzle creator Alan Hazelden (A Monster’s Expedition, Sokobond)
Ultra-adorable graphics created by Tyu Orphinae (Klondike Collective)
Relaxing ambient soundtrack by Nick Dymond (Maia, The Colonists)

A clever puzzle game with a simple premise: draw train tracks to pick up and drop off passengers. The puzzles gradually become more challenging and can lead to some satisfying "aha!" moments, though a few levels felt more frustrating than fun. The minimalist presentation works well, and while it didn't completely blow me away, it's a solid puzzle game that's worth checking out if you enjoy the genre.
The first thing I love about this game is the soft colors. The gameplay is also really easy to understand. You basically build train tracks through each little space station and try to figure out the right route to pick up all the aliens and bring them safely to their homes. At first, it feels pretty simple because you only have a few things to think about, but the levels gradually introduce more things that you have to consider. You have to think about where the train should go, which aliens to pick up first, where the track should turn, and how to make sure you don’t mess up your whole route. I really like how creative the level design is. The levels don’t just keep getting bigger or harder in the same way. They introduce different layouts and little mechanics that make you approach each puzzle differently. Sometimes I thought I had already figured out the solution, only to realize that one small mistake in my route completely ruined everything. There were also some levels where I had to stop and look at the whole map for a while before I even had an idea of where to start. And honestly, some of the levels were really challenging for me. There were quite a few where I tried over and over again and still couldn’t get the solution. I would keep changing the tracks, try a different order, fail again, and then eventually just lose my patience. I ended up looking up guides for quite a few levels. Overall, I think it is a really creative puzzle game, recommend it if you enjoy creative and challenging puzzle games!

Maybe I'm dumb but it felt like I was bruteforcing the hardest puzzles in this game instead of "solving" them. I liked that the developers tried to push the limits with a veeery small amount of mechanics but this type of puzzles is just not for me. Other than that - every puzzle felt unique so that's good.
This game overstays it's welcome, badly. After a dozen puzzles or so it feels repetitive. This gets worse as the difficulty goes up, because it's very hard to think through the larger boards without brute forcing some attempts, I never really felt like I was solving something, just working on it until something went right. The difficulty curve is all over the place. Some of the hardest puzzles in the game are in the first area, and you're supposed to go back and forth between areas, but they aren't numbered in such a way that leads you to that conclusion! You'll end up jumping into something way over your head unknowingly, and if you manage it, you'll find the next puzzle a cakewalk comparatively. When I'm jumping into a puzzle game, I'm not expecting to have to guess which levels I'm supposed to play. Maybe I'm just bad at it, but I find this game extremely difficult to enjoy.
Played on Steam Deck. I like Draknek puzzles but this one didn't catch me. I struggled to get started on each puzzle without random experimentation, which if intentional is why I did not enjoy it. Many of the puzzles did not feel like there was a crux to discover, just an order of laying down tracks to stumble upon.
Cosmic Express is based on a simple premise (draw a path to reach things in the right order) but the puzzles quickly become difficult and require both logical deduction and out of the box thinking. The puzzle design is very tight and a lot of thought was clearly put into it. There were many puzzles that looked impossible but were incredibly satisfying once the solution was found. As a nice bonus, some of the puzzles require alternate solutions which added another surprise layer of depth. Only weak point for me were the puzzles with large boards: this isn't the kind of game where you start with an idea and gradually improve it to get an answer. Often you need to completely rethink your approach and do something unusual. When the board is large I found it exhausting to think through. Fortunately, the vast majority of levels were not like this.

Vagones Felices vs. Choques Innecesarios

[th]Aspecto[/th][th]Puntuación (0-10)[/th][th]Comentario[/th]

Música7Agradable y discreta: acompaña, no invade.

Very cute little puzzle game. I like the added challenge of having to juggle picking up and dropping off the aliens instead of it just being a line-type puzzle. As you advance through the levels you get to pick which way you want to go and each “constellation” (this game’s version of “worlds”) has it’s own little gimmick, like teleportation or an alien that contaminates your train so the other ones don’t want to ride it anymore, with a big last world that adds it all together for a more challenging finale. Even when you’re finished you can go back to certain highlighted levels and can solve it again with the added difficulty of having certain aliens wanting to be delivered to certain places, which makes even the easier levels a bit harder. Overall, I really enjoyed my time with it. It’s basic but very cute and if you’re in for a little brain-scratcher, give this game a shot! Achievements: A total of 12 Achievements and you get one for completing all levels in each constellation, completing every constellation and then going back and solving the monolith puzzles which has you backtrack certain levels like described above. If you ever get stuck, there are a handful of guides in the community tab to help you out. Rather simple 100% but solving everything on your own can be quite difficult!
